I do really like Peter Capaldi as the doctor, however I only watched the first episode as I heard the second one involved spiders so I steered clear of that one and ending up forgetting about it as I don't really watch TV anyway. But I plan on catching up on some point. Hate to admit it, but I love Doctor Who.

I went on a Ski Jump when I went to this armed forces thing in Kent in the summer, it creaked it's way through and I just wanted to get off! It was hardly maintained well mind. But I can really see how these things are prone to accidents.

I might get a barrage of moans from this, but I just don't really like Christmas anymore. It's not because I'm a cynical killjoy who hates all things good and nice and happy, but it's all so commercialised now, all about who's getting the most and what they're getting. What's the fun in Christmas if there's just so much stress and hassle for one day in an attempt to make it 'perfect'? I appreciate the core values of Christmas, but it all seems to be getting lost, less about family, spending time together (and the birth of Jesus if we want to drag religion into this, but I won't) and more about posting pictures of your 'haul' on Facebook, finding out how much your presents cost and telling everyone. What's the point in knowing months in advance that you're getting a £4583729834659873 something or other? Sure, it's nice to receive things, but come on...

If you were to be specific, yes it may be classed as a thriller rather than a horror, but can still possess certain aspects of a horror film. I agree that there is potential for a 'horror' IP in the name of the ones you have mentioned, however I believe that others were on about 'pure' adult horror films.

It actually follows a group of scientists who work at an American university a.k.a College and carry out research etc. Think like the scientists who work at Oxbridge.
-
Just to kind of clear things up, the true definition of the horror genre is something that involves the supernatural, doesn't necessarily have to be gory or truly terrifying to make it a horror. HOWEVER, the general idea is to incaptivate the audience and their purpose often is to 'frighten and panic', so it still wouldn't be suitable for this supposed family attraction.

Can I do something really predictable and say I hate TOWIE. Not just because I get the stereotype pinned onto me (okay, that may make up a lot of it), but it's just so staged and all for attention! People putting their personal lives, relationships etc. on TV for all to gawp at all for a bit of money. Just like Made In Chelsea, Geordie Shore etc. Fabricated nonsense about a bunch of self-obsessed, narcissistic idiots. Dreadful.

^ It was a clear day, but was starting to get dark, nice view over the sea and you can see quite a lot of Blackpool/Preston. I hated the lift as I'm claustrophobic and they shove a lot of people in, got quite a weird look from some guy on the way down as I was freaking out quite a bit! The preshow was pretty good, albeit basically a promo for them like revamping the towers and the promenade. Nice thing to do! I need mod actions to stop me rambling so much.

As some of you know I went t'Blackpool, and amongst other things, I ventured up t'Tower I'd like to thank my hair for ruining the general effect of the photo. This is my aunt and cousin, this is also my 'I've had enough of this nonsense' face. That is merely my cousin's normal face.

Disneyland Paris Trip 24th - 26th April 2015
paige replied to AJ 's topic in Your Planned Trips and Reports
I'd love to go both to let some steam off post-exams and to just see Matt at a Disney park. Very sketchy maybe though. -
Isn't there only one or two doctors left after Capaldi though? I like Doctor Who don't get me wrong, but I'm more scared the park won't do it justice etc. etc.

I would accept a GBBO IP, numerous baking-related puns everywhere. Make a Saw cake! Buy a Storm Surge mixing bowl because why not.
-
I'm praying that it will be one of Thorpe/Merlin's own creations rather than an IP, as they are capable of good things. But I'm as sceptic as I am hopeful.
-
I got stuck on Saw in the station just before offload for about 10 minutes but even then I was starting to panic, different people respond differently down to a variety of reasons. Anywho, does anyone know why they were filming in and around The Swarm island in July?
-
I really hope the whole 'ermerhgerd Slammer's down it's definitely going now, looks like this was my last ride ' drama isn't rekindled.

It's sad how we take having access to a number of decent parks and coasters with multiple inversions for granted. Hearing about the guy you sat next to being so excited for a 3-inverson Arrow is a bit of a wake up call if you will.
-
Went today, pretty decent park. Grand National and Big Dipper are fun. Valhalla reached and exceeded all of my expectations. First ride I was truly impressed with, literally got soaked but it was fab! Might give a bit more of a review type thing when I get home/tomorrow. I also lost my phone on either Grand National or Big Dipper. Whoops.
-
How can you manage to spend £700 on Thorpe!?
-
I myself didn't say there were 6,000 on park, and how can you be sure it wasn't that number as it didn't 'feel' like it? I also think that one would find it easier to get a more secure figure via the internet than through some observational guess work...
-
Compared to the numbers Thorpe have been dealing with recently it is pretty dire.
-
The kid. The kid. This is just so fab.

Thinks being at the front of Haunting in the Hollows will mean you'll feel the worst which ISN'T TRUE.

Surely if it's print at home and you just have to scan, you'll be let in(?) EDIT: I think I just realised that's not what was meant at all, I'll leave now.
