Another one I heard at Towers on Tuesday was a dad to his kids saying 'next coaster should be a really tall one, one you can see for miles away.' There's a reason Nemesis was built in a pit...

I don't really know if this is the topic for it but I had a generally great day trip to towers. I haven't been for nearly two years and not much has changed but the place is great! I didn't see a single breakdown while I was there and rides were being run on high capacity meaning not very long queues (well, except probably Galactica). The staff there were so much more friendly than I had experienced at any other Merlin park, all of them were lovely, chatty people who knew their stuff about rides. The man working on the RAP for Nemesis was talking to my nervous brother about the ride because it was his first time on the ride and it helped him quite a lot! Overall it was a great day out and definitely (even though I do love Thorpe) the best Merlin park in the country.

So I went to Towers today ((initially thought I was going yesterday) and despite mixed reviews of Galactica and thus dampening my hopes for it, I really enjoyed it. I really thought it was awesome. Maybe I'm just easy to please but I've never experienced anything quite like it before. My headset didn't fit that well because it's heavy and my nose is weird but it was truly a fun attraction that for me I'd like to do again. I used a RAP for queueing and even then that is long so I can see how the queue has been damaged by it. And even though I love it, it won't last long, most likely.

At Thorpe park, a teenage girl points at Colossus: 'Hey lets go on Oblivion!' today at Towers, in the Smiler line 'oh yeah all the staff are really big roller coaster enthusiasts, that Shawn bloke has a million subscribers.'

I do think Galactica was a nice idea, and the space galaxy aesthetic is nice, but it just doesn't seem to work. Like Imindetomator said, I won't be surprised if they abandon it. I'll be going to Towers next Tuesday, so I'll see if my opinion has changed by then.

OTHR for a teacup ride, whatever will they think of next? Closing Bubbleworks?

Did not know that I've dedicated my entire life pretty much to star wars.

My friend got me into it in February. Now my life is in tatters.

My Rabbit Rosie, who some of you may remember me posting about a year ago, has died. She had a disease associated with high nutrition. I'm confident in saying we were good rabbit owners, as her and her mate had a six foot wide hutch with a run, and free access to the garden when we were in. We fed her and gave her treats. She was feisty, not afraid of our Dog, and enjoyed chasing the cat. Towards the end she just gave up really. No struggle when we gave her her medicine, would barely move or eat. At least she's in no more pain. Her life has been cut short (3-4 years) and there's so many bad rabbit owners who have as rabbit for years more. The one I feel most sorry for is her mate, Santa, because they really had a bond.

Because the new targets are crap. I used to love this ride but it's totally ruined for me now

I think I'm going to cry.

On Instagtram, a lot of my friends and internet friends have raised awareness about the issue, nearly everyone I know from school has posted about it or acknowledged the situation. Someone I know is selling commissions and the money is going towards helping the victims. On tumblr it's everywhere, and the way the community is sticking together after such a tragedy is incredible. Everyone's helping everyone on there. But the media has barely covered it, and lots of the news stations over in the states don't even acknowledge that it was a gay bar apparently. It's horrible.

Absolutely awful what happened in Orlando. May all of them rest in peace. It was supposed to be a safe space for the LGBT+ community, yet it still happened. It's heartbreaking.

Until February, that was something I swore by. My friend tricked me into watching the Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base sketch from Saturday Night Live (featuring Matt The Radar Technician) and I was hooked ever on the franchise ever since. I have like five pieces of Kylo Ren Merchandise alone.

Diddly dang darn it, it must have opened just as I left

My aunt's electric car is the coolest thing I've ever been in. (What's so bad with Cadbury's? The founders were Quakers, and pretty good people, who didn't want to make chocolates for soldiers when Queen Victoria herself asked them too. Guessing today's owners are a lot worse.) Barn owls or snowy owls?

I only went on Tomb for the first time this season today. Hearing all the negative reviews, I desperately hoped it was a bunch of angry Merlin haters trying to take something out on them. But I didn't realise they could make it worse. But they managed to. The guns were completely silent. The 'pews' they emitted were just as big of a part of the previous version as the music was. Speaking of music, they managed to make it ear piercing and too loud. The lighting in some places was great, but it clearly illuminated the warehouse and made the sets so much smaller. I remember the days where I thought that the snake was impossibly large, and the Jackal was a giant. Of course, I've grown up since I've first been, but it just seems tiny now, probably a direct result of the lighting changes. The targets were large and clumsy, wires were everywhere, they'd stuck some onto the snake's eyes. Part of the fun of the older version was that the targets took some amount of skill to hit. I may have never got to try the Fifth Dimension, or Terror Tomb, but the old Tomb Blaster was a large part of my childhood. Now even that version has gone to the dogs.
