according to a poster on TowersStreet there’s an issue with the chain and it could be down for rest of the season.

Rapids being closed is purely money reasons and not safety related. Towers still have Congo open although it does close before dark but it’s open during the day and that’s something Thorpe can do as well.

Room on the broom, surprised was no-one apart from Chessington

I’m still concerned with the lack of fright night fast track packages ?
Fastrack is £28 for The terrifying trio (Walking Dead: Do or die, SAW Alive & Vulcan Peak)
Triple threat is also £28 (Living nightmare, platform 15 & deed creek woods)
or ultimate £150 which includes all mazes and rides (excludes containment)

As @Marc I went through the usual fastrack entrance on Saturday too. Isn’t the fastrack via exit just on what they class off peak days? Least it always used to be.

I’m not “involved” with it, I just think people should refrain from bashing audio at an event that was not complete....
I went with the exclusive preview expectation that Merlin built it up to. This means it should be exactly the same as press night and General Public, I said I wasn’t sold on the new audio and I stand by it. I much prefer the director theme.
Opinion is meant to be individual and I can’t believe a few days work before press night will change my thoughts on it.
However I will visit next week and if there is an improvement I will state that.

@StevenVig So what’s your involvement in this new audio that you keep defending?
-
I didn’t see any clowns but a few walkers.
Not sold on audio, prefer The Director.
Was expecting queues everywhere but was pleasantly surprised.

One more to be announced, limited free tickets to containment? Can’t be that many VIP holders filling the slots considering it’s one go per VIP.

The MAP group aren't happy bunnies with regards to the Annual Pass Preview not being exclusive. I can see it being a recipe for disaster only allowing people with MAPs into the mazes with non MAP holders kicking off etc... Or is that just me?
Also please tell me it's not just me that's on the MAP group just to check out the sheer ridiculousness levels of entitlement on there.... But then the same could be said for #enthusiasts sometimes I suppose ?
That’s all the group is for isn’t it ? it’s amazing how many don’t live in reality, bleating on they were promised an exclusive day like its the end of the world that they have to share it with the general public

I wanted to hear from more of the day to day staff and engineers from a first hand experience working there. I want Towers to embrace the criticism and explain exactly HOW they are going to improve. WHY are they closing outlets and staggering ride openings? - That’s the kind of documentary I was hoping for.
That will never happen, Merlin wouldn’t sign off on anything that was critical of them.
Others have commented the only reason smiler incident featured was to get viewers and then shoe horn them into the advertising of Wickerman for rest of the show.

You can’t enter the park on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday during the summer with a Thorpe AP, unless you pay the £10 fee to gain access on those days and then that fee would cover the full 12hrs.
There is no extra charge to stay for Love Island

Definitely an improvement on the original version.
The first advert barely promoted this as a coaster. The re-editing and inclusion of ride shots is definitely an advantage here.
There was a first??

In the case of Galatica though it’s fair to say it was a failure otherwise they wouldn’t of removed rows of equipment. But now ironically they’ve made VR “exclusive” and people are waiting for VR instead of walking straight on to empty seats for non VR.

If they can’t be bothered to replace a green light bulb on stealth after all these years so there’s no hope in them doing other lighting correctly
