Coasterforce reacted to pluk in Thorpe Park 2020Realistically - the entrance needs sorting out properly. I hate what they've done with it, it is a dreadful way to welcome anyone to anywhere let alone a theme park which should be a place of joy and escapism.
It would kind of be OK if it left you feeling safe but security, it's primary aim being to keep out restricted items, is worse than it was previously as so long as you don't have a bag you saunter on through the middle with no checks at all. Yeah, I'm sure everyone keeps their knives, drugs and firearms in a bag!
They need to make the entrance welcoming while achieving at least some level of security. I don't really know what the answer is, but the mess we currently have which achieves neither is not it!
Inside the park I'd just like it cleaned. So much of it is so grotty. Ride stations and shops especially are filthy. It's not much to ask and should be a basic but there is clearly no system in place to actually clean things.

Coasterforce reacted to Marc in 2019 SeasonDon’t get me wrong, im not saying the park don’t have its problems, but I wouldn’t say it’s quite at the soul destroying level!
I do disagree though - personally think The Walking Dead retheme of X was executed brilliantly and was their last solid investment!

Coasterforce reacted to BBoyJD10 in 2019 SeasonColossus yes I agree with, however Inferno + Swarm and the dome I completely disagree with! I see no problem with Inferno apart from the chewing gum which is hardly a big issue if you think about it. Swarm I see no issue at all with great operations. The new dome looks modern, clean and in the 21st century!

Coasterforce reacted to Marhelorpe in 2019 SeasonI concur with Coaster above, today really was brilliant! For a preview day, I gotta give credit to the park here as I was honestly surprised by how well things were being run and the availability of the attractions for guests, especially when Stealth unexpectedly opened in the early afternoon. I'd go as far as to say this has been one of the best preview events the park has held yet.
All coasters minus WD were running full capacity, including Colossus on two trains and Tidal Wave on two boats which is something rarely seen these days! The staff running the coasters were on fire too with frequent and fast dispatch times. No messing around or delays this visit anywhere across any ride. Staff were friendly and cooperative when DBGT broke down and all of them seem enthused, which is a promising start to the season.
Probably the most surprising thing for me was walking into a park where every minute between 10am - 5pm, the coasters did not remove any trains on their circuits due to small queues later in the day, which has become a terrible habit of this park lately. Instead, by 4pm, I was riding a train on Colossus with only 6 guests and loads of empty ones. Same for Inferno too. This is what I like to see!
As for the changes and things I noticed across the park, there are some questionable cosmetic changes made inside the dome I really don't think highly of, especially given it's just black walls everywhere now and PVC posters in front of the store instead of a glass display window as an example. It looks so incredibly dull in there without the old theming anymore and no massive widescreen projector will ever excuse the decision to do this. Also, there were some areas of the park which clearly weren't looked over properly during the winter, as the LED lighting rigs from Fright Nights are still standing next to Tidal Wave, Loggers Leap and IAC. Why are they still standing? It looks really lazy.
Colossus in-person looks awful with the land filled in under the vertical loop. They could have at least turfed the ground with some grass or plants couldn't they? Least the original audio was back on it today which was great to hear! It honestly suits the coaster so much better than the IMAscore version.
Swarm's station was also quite bad, as whilst they painted the steel supports after removing all the cladding surrounding them, they didn't paint the footers right down to the ground and as a result, bare silver metal is still visible near the floor on all the supports. It looks really bad and like a botch job.
But most of all, my biggest concern about what I saw from today was a seriously worrying lack of upkeep with their audio and SFX, because it was incredibly inconsistent in some areas and many effects have not been fixed since the end of last season. This is something I have noticed Chessington and Alton Towers are also suffering from currently so it's not unique just to Thorpe.
Here is a long list of every little observation I made from today for each ride. Used spoiler tags to keep this post from getting too long:

Don't worry adventurers, it's making a splash back soon!

Coasterforce reacted to JoshC. in 2019 SeasonFull version of the map now available:
On top of what we already knew, we have...
-Wilderness Bar & Kitchen replacing Sticky Sisters
-New name for the coffee hut outside Wilderness
-The disappearance of The Grill / any food place in Old Town
-Live actors not listed as part of TWD experience, but still for DBGT
I don't like how the events are highlighted; makes them look like major attractions. That makes it especially awkward come June, when GameFX is finished (unless they plan to release further maps, but then why bother highlighting Jungle Escape/BounceZilla so prominently?). Also find it very weird that Sunken Gardens is highlighted so largely; it's bigger then 10 rides!
Do like the little symbols representing each coaster; they're neat.
But overall, not overly keen on this style. Better than some previous versions, and at least it can be used as a 'map', but feels very squished (why so much blank space around?!).

Coasterforce got a reaction from Rach666 in 2019 SeasonIt's more likely 'Bouncezilla' is a code word for Loggers Leap and it's now reopening this year than Swarm going backwards tbh.

Coasterforce reacted to Jack95 in 2019 SeasonI put the two teasers they have posted together (forming the centre of the park) the arrows seem to be indicating the locations for the events this year; I could be wrong.
However it’s interesting how ‘Old town’ appears to be deliberately left out, could they be labelling this area as “under construction for 2020” or simply because this area hasn’t got much going for it at the moment?

Coasterforce reacted to Stuntman707 in Your Thorpe ParkIf the journalist felt so strongly about their terrible experience, they wouldn't have taken Thorpe's VIP bribe package and agree to not writing an article until after they had their special treatment from the park. Now FN 2018 is long gone with the only negative articles I can see from some youths fighting in the carpark. Nothing negative about the event itself. The Mirror in fact promoted the event.

Coasterforce reacted to JoshC. in Your Thorpe ParkOh don't be so melodramatic.
Plenty of the rides will be missed at the very least. And there are plenty of staff there who care.
1) X:\No Way Out to X retheme
2) Big Top (2016/17 versions)
3) Ghost Train at it's prime was genuinely hailed as a fantastic experience
4) The uniqueness of Swarm backwards (and the sensibility to reverse that decision when the fad died away)
5) IMA Score
Again, don't be so melodramatic.
That post was made in October. If it was real and was going to happen, it would have happened by now.
