    TPM awardssss

Only 2 days to send nominations? Gaaahhh!
  5. Hopefully pricing will improve this overall feeling though, its about getting the right balance which is always difficult
  6. No. If people didn't buy the product, it would not be that price. Especially as it costs them nothing to supply this service (essentially anyway). It's up to demand as to whether it costs much or not. I don't get benefits because I earn just a little bit too much. Is that discrimination as well? Because I cant?Or lets say, I don't get an exit pass because I'm not in a wheelchair? That's discrimination.Dont. Be. So. Stupid. No, yet again. Dumping rubbish in rivers is unethical. Stealing from old people is unethical. Offering an OPTIONAL add-on product at whatever price you so wish, is not unethical. That's how it works to a point. They allocate them.Allocation does not work at all times anyway, people ALWAYS turn up at the beginning of that time, or try and get in earlier or later. It's bad customer service to simply shoo them away. Avoid peak hours of the day, there's no point in having the ticket. Accurate system.. ask any Sales & Info person, their computer shows absolutely everything you'd want to know, even stuff you don't need to know. Because thorpe is a different park? Because thorpe is smaller and their rides cant cope with high amounts of people, let alone loads of fastrack as well? Let's remember, this is not the government, not a necessary service which people have a right to. This is not like comparing hospitals.
  7. Well, no it doesn't. It doesn't talk about fastrack being raised due to VAT whatsoever.Yes, its a deterrant. If its cheaper like £2 per people, it'd be available to more people. Selling out quickly, there'll be more problems - more problems with higher queues, more problems with too many fastrack people at once, too many problems with people cant getting fastrack due to selling out. They do sell out. You see it often. It's simple bloody economics. Supply and demand. Include that talking to and knowing sales & info staff and management, kinda suggests I know what I'm on about?Park entrance tickets run on a different system, different ploys etc. Secondary spending is completely different to getting people in the first place. Godsake, you may as well moan about burger king prices affecting people entering the gate.
  8. It is entirely a deterrant - and quite rightly so.The service is a privilidge, not a right, therefore comes at a cost. Plus, as it is, the demand for fastrack is too high and they do sell out, causing complaints anyway. The higher it is, the better imo. The less people who buy fastrack, the happier the entire world - the main queue goes quicker for it, and the fastrackers get a quicker fastrack queue. At the end of the day, its up to you to secondary spend. Moan all you like about entrance prices though .(In the case of towers, dunno if its more than thorpe or not, they hand out a LOT of free entry tickets and have a LOT of annual pass holders.. so rely on fastrack as secondary spend, and the fastrack should be high enough to still be a kind of value for them, but not too cheap for everyone to wanna use it).
  9. Hey. I'm nowhere near the top. I don't think it's working well. But at least it goes to the right place. So thank yous.
  10. Maybe they just feel its beneficial to be open consistently, so guests will turn up on a whim.. rather than worrying about whether its open, so just dont turn up.It's a tactic done by shops and cinemas etc.. be open even if there's noone.. just to build up that image
  11. Bugger. Don't think I'd be able to fit it in then. Thanks anyway.
  12. I need a good reputation. Come on you prats.

  13. When I wanna click ooonn overall top posters, it takes me to my messages thing. Does this mean overall, I'm the best?
  14. Yeah, literally only reason I posted was its open fully in Sept and Oct. Other than that, woo for bland opening times.
  15. What queuetime do you think mr monkeys banana ride will have on the parks opening day? Just that I wanna fit it in between inferno and lunch.. cheers.

Casually browsing and this just appeared and got me into hysterics. Epic.
  18. Chessie has managed to get a full array of opening times this year. No zoo days at all according to the website.(yeah you can find the opening times yourself )
  19. Well you do. This is a fast and bumpy ride.Oh wait, like almost everything at chessie supposedly. Interesting..
  20. Money money money. It's not that bad. Depends if you rate job satisfaction at all .I thought this'd be perfect for JoshC, minimum wage* seems like something you'd be able to live on, if we read your posts!*for 22+, so its pretty good for a 16yr old, especially if you compare it to working at a supermarket which will pay at the 16-17 level

    Jobs..

I loved my recent job, and just waiting to go back to previous job which I also thoroughly enjoyed. Ooh!
  22. Gah, you do wind people up sometimes!I fully respect his wanting to work at chessie, I was in exactly the same situation at 15, wanting to work at the same park.I've continued to work within the parks at not too much money (5 seasons on!), but its affordable. Who cares if its minimum wage or near it? Doesn't matter. As long as you enjoy your job. And I personally love working for merlin.School is boring ****, I chose the route of working instead of education. Sure, I ain't gone far, but my job satisfaction and morale is high, and I love my life. Some people get far more from working than education anyway. Think Richard Branson etc.Jobs ain't that easy to come by - and summer jobs are even harder seeing as everyone that age is trying then. Grab them whilst you can. I fully support the 15yr old!
  23. Abdab shouldn't be outside. He's made for an indoor attraction, and as so, I'm sure the weather is ruining him. He'll look godawful in a year or twos time.. not that he looks amazing now anyway with chipped paintwork.
  24. Can't believe I have to quote myself.
  25. I'm tired of people moaning about it.If the road is usually gritted, it would've been gritted. It doesn't stop snow settling.Dunno if you get on trains, but if you did you'd realise the past few weeks, the platforms are gritted everyday.. yet when the snow falls.. omg.. it settles on it.Bloody hell. Expect bloody disruption. Every country in the world gets it. Its just how they deal with it. And tbf, they've dealt with it well (apart from ****ty spanish owned heathrow - but we all know why that is).
