  1. Correct. If you've noticed its a temporary ride.. not permenantly placed. Fantasy World starts theirs with the diesel engines.. you can hear them go down turn it on
  2. I'd presume the taking bags on with you is now due to light, so you can see where your bags are and its not like you're gonna lose them easily?
  3. I'd much rather meet at thorpe farm than the new stealth.
  4. Was going to say that, it'll be interesting if the park will make money from it.
  5. It's not exactly H&S, its practicality as well. Plus, why when the staff have an option of sending a ride every 15mins with 15 people on, than just send it instantly with one? .H&S is very much parkwise anyway, each park has different procedures which those themselves WILL stick to.
  6. The fastrack point, I saw both the entrance to the building and at the stairs last year, depending on how busy the park is. Maybe its down to that?Easier to deal with fastrackers pushing past each other/turning away people without fastrack on busy days..
  7. Yup, but go on the 10pm days anyway, cos Fright Nights are worth it.
  8. I'm pretty sure they would've followed them. It's not like samurai is hidden, any manager walking past would've been like OMFG!I've been on rocky express by myself at thorpe, countless rides at chessie by myself. None at towers, because almost all of them require a minimum of 2 people incase of breakdowns!
  9. Always worth trying it, merlin staff get in free to Heide Park.. so would've thought there'd be an offer or deal for standard merlin passholders as well.
  10. Majority of rollercoasters dont cost £10m, none of the merlin ones have.Remember, merlin add theming, paving and most importantly marketing into their overall cost of their coaster
  11. Not law, manufacturers recommendations.. and it'd be a tiny bit silly if they didn't follow those recommendation. Otherwise they may have a slight problem should something occur
  12. It's brill that its gotten to the time when the parks feel they can open all week during september. Let's hope it works out for them!
  13. No mate, I'm just saying it how it is.You also touched on another point on what makes alton towers special - where else in the uk can you board a monorail which previews some of the parks most impressive rides to get to the entrance? That in itself is magical.
  14. Yeah, that sums up my view on your post! (However I'll add that I'm confused about your queues thing, the queues are rarely over an hour.. whereas if you visit thorpe at the same time, they'll have at least a few rides with at least an hour queue!)
  15. Smoking areas is nicer for non-smokers. Majority of people tend to stick by them, makes walking around the park nicer.Plus it makes smoking in queuelines easier - Yeah you cant smoke anywhere but designated areas.. Easy!

    Fastrack

Charging for fastrack was probably one of the best ideas they have ever had. Huge money maker for the parks, absolutely massive.I like looking up and seeing the variable tickets and prices from the previous seasons!
  17. Huss enforcing it has changed both blade and buccaneer - however towers don't have row restrictions. To answer mark, its seemingly been closed more than open after the changes!Legolands been following these restrictions since they installed their ship, and yeah it takes forever to load, but the airgates bloody help!Wonder if they're restricted to the middle on buccaneer due to the height of the ship at full swing?
  18. Airgates make it so much easier. Especially for a busy ride like it is at chessie.Dunno if anyones noticed, but its height restriction has changed. They need to be a minimum of 1m, and guests between 1m and 1.3m need to be accompanied - so no more tiny kids on the ride!
  19. Chessie always oversells their fastrack. I thought it would've been easier to handle now its £10pp! Obviously not, people just have that sort of money. As for the quote of 1750? Seriously? Thats not even the same amount as towers do for their main fastrack option AND the solo for one ride!
  20. Fastrack would not affect it like that, unless they had about 800 fastrackers in that time. Either that is a very very lying board, or they had like one shuttle thing on
  21. The ride is big, its not like people can miss it. Doesn't need advertising.

    X

I was talking to my hairdresser the other day, and he mentioned thorpe park and X.. and asked why the lights were on, making it completely pointless to ride. And he's just a general member of public, so I can only presume most people think the same . It's ****!
  23. New logo looks amazing. Though when I went, not all the signage had changed (ie, the smoking signs, the batching signs, the this way to falls sign).. which made the place look a bit shabby. ALL the signs please!
  24. My problem was that they wouldn't wait to the side, they'd stand in the sodding way. And they'd do it all the time, to the point where it was easier just to force people to ride (though only with queues of 10mins+)
  25. When bubbleworks floods, it leaks down into vampire station, making it very messy
