    Legoland

Bitterly dissappointed with legos new area, in that unlike the planning applications everything looks like wild woods, just with a pirate ship in there.Pirates Training Camp (rat trap) is alright with the new back area.. but the entire of the old area looks rotten and mank, so completely contrasts with its new part.It plays the mutiny bay stuff as well, which is frustrating as it is nowhere near on the same level as mutiny - the entire area just feels so typically lego cheap, which is mad considering they now have the tussauds studios expertise which have done amazing transformations at chessie and ugland this year.
  3. Don't go for rita first then thirteen.Everyone and their dogs go there first, whereas rest of the park is pretty dead (particularly valley area). Whereas around 3, thirteen is quieter and rita can be as short as 10mins.
  4. Weekends wont have peak, and swansea you'll get advance tickets guaranteed, just don't buy on the day as you'd have to be a proper numpty to do that!
  5. Depends what rides are open and available as well as to what the capacity is.Rather interesting that this was the first bank holiday monday to be the busiest days in ages, up north we experienced it as well (bank hol mons are usually quietest day of the weekends).
  6. Yeah it is. From hearing towers street everyday and going to chessie, it was very weird. It's a variation of the current towers street track. The sealife plays the nemmy station 07 music, which brought me back to horrible queueing times last week!
  7. Most of the stuff mentioned was working on tuesday, I even saw something work which I did not see working for the 3yrs I worked on it! The guy with the feather dusters seat thing moves up and down! wow!The main thing I dislike about the place is the lighting, it could be done much better with more thought than "Oh we only have red bulbs, so all this will now be red and look ****"
  8. The tombstones have gone from the wall, as I was rather miffed about it.One of them is now where the red water is - which needs constant topping up. Nemmy water is redyed every week, so I hope chessie doesn't think it can keep it red all season without doing anything to it!However the ultra loud music is amazing, makes me wonder why it hasn't been like that for ages
  9. LOL. Unless that changed down at chessie, every park I've worked at.. if its raining when you wake up til about 11, the park is COMPLETELY dead.(only difference is end of august if its been raining all summer, cos people still wanna go and they think they're running out of time so go anyway)

    Should be reopening this morning
  11. Yo.Moo-no-rail opens at 845amz, and the advance collection is on the left of turnstyles - its really not difficult to miss them! For food there's like chicken and ribs at woodcutters (near rita), BBQ in mutiny and the usual stuff found at the other parks.ERT is nemmy, RMT, Hex.. Oblivion I think, spinball, and I think some mutiny rides.
  12. Spose thats a unique reason to visit
  13. Dead, though 20mins queue on inferno with queue down to the fastrack point.
  14. I also went to thorpe yesterday..I like the new branding, it suits the park and is very good - they've effectively have had that branding company to the max and I'm sure it'll work utter wonders.Saw alive was a load of crap, it was probably as tame as a chessie maze and not even fun.. so yeah. Huge thumbs down on that front. However big thumbs up to the very reridable saw ride, actually went on that countless times and its probably my 2nd favourite coaster after inferno now.Which works well when moving onto that.. the mist and lighting is amazing. The decision to have the 07 music back in the station.. that was annoying WITH the dispatch music back then, so now to hear this useless 30sec track constantly playing is rediculous. The ride also had the longest queue for the entire time I was at the park, which was also very stupid.. surely the 2nd train was off for maintenance already? It should constantly be on the track. Also the attendants decision to open the airgates after everyones left the station is annoying especially when the batching lanes were full. However they were relatively fast at checking restraints so a slight bonus.What.. didn't.. surprise me is the amount of rubbish. For a dead day, there was litter everywhere. Surely it won't hurt to have just one member of staff to go around the queuelines throughout the day, or make it ES responsibility during the opening hours.. just that slight difference would make a huge impression on the general tidyness of the park.Overall twas a rather enjoyable trip, thorpes definitely improved from the past few godawful years.
  15. I've gotta love how chessie had a higher gate figure than towers on sunday, just shows how many APers are in the london area (quite naturally!).However I hate this sealife arguement, the majority of the parks in the UK which added complete bugger all got a bumper year in 08. Why? The staycation trend. Barely anyone who visited who spoke to me knew about the sealife before visiting either.
  16. Shouldn't be too busy next monday, the park aren't selling fastrack so it'll be fine.

Third blipvert will be shown from this evening. Have fun trying to find it
  19. None of the fastracks have thirteen on them apart from its own seperate ticket.
  20. Vampire at a push can get 1100, just needs 6 platformers, ensuring only 2 guests per gate and taking all bags and undoing buckles. But it happened a couple of times when I was there.Though usually its bout 950ish.

Haunted houses aren't kids rides. You can get some epicly amazing rides there.Towers is far, far more diverse than thorpe in terms of rides. Just look on a park map next time to notice the huge vary compared to thorpes selection of rides which spin!
