    Should be reopening this morning
  2. He said excluding pizza places
  3. Yo.Moo-no-rail opens at 845amz, and the advance collection is on the left of turnstyles - its really not difficult to miss them! For food there's like chicken and ribs at woodcutters (near rita), BBQ in mutiny and the usual stuff found at the other parks.ERT is nemmy, RMT, Hex.. Oblivion I think, spinball, and I think some mutiny rides.

Spose thats a unique reason to visit
  5. Dead, though 20mins queue on inferno with queue down to the fastrack point.
  6. I also went to thorpe yesterday..I like the new branding, it suits the park and is very good - they've effectively have had that branding company to the max and I'm sure it'll work utter wonders.Saw alive was a load of crap, it was probably as tame as a chessie maze and not even fun.. so yeah. Huge thumbs down on that front. However big thumbs up to the very reridable saw ride, actually went on that countless times and its probably my 2nd favourite coaster after inferno now.Which works well when moving onto that.. the mist and lighting is amazing. The decision to have the 07 music back in the station.. that was annoying WITH the dispatch music back then, so now to hear this useless 30sec track constantly playing is rediculous. The ride also had the longest queue for the entire time I was at the park, which was also very stupid.. surely the 2nd train was off for maintenance already? It should constantly be on the track. Also the attendants decision to open the airgates after everyones left the station is annoying especially when the batching lanes were full. However they were relatively fast at checking restraints so a slight bonus.What.. didn't.. surprise me is the amount of rubbish. For a dead day, there was litter everywhere. Surely it won't hurt to have just one member of staff to go around the queuelines throughout the day, or make it ES responsibility during the opening hours.. just that slight difference would make a huge impression on the general tidyness of the park.Overall twas a rather enjoyable trip, thorpes definitely improved from the past few godawful years.

I've gotta love how chessie had a higher gate figure than towers on sunday, just shows how many APers are in the london area (quite naturally!).However I hate this sealife arguement, the majority of the parks in the UK which added complete bugger all got a bumper year in 08. Why? The staycation trend. Barely anyone who visited who spoke to me knew about the sealife before visiting either.
  8. Shouldn't be too busy next monday, the park aren't selling fastrack so it'll be fine.

Hopefully they've got all the effects all sorted now. Looking forward to riding it today

Vampire at a push can get 1100, just needs 6 platformers, ensuring only 2 guests per gate and taking all bags and undoing buckles. But it happened a couple of times when I was there.Though usually its bout 950ish.

Splash battle is like battle galleons at alton towers, or splash battle at flamingoland! As for whoever was saying chessies 20mins away blah, how very niave of you

Haunted houses aren't kids rides. You can get some epicly amazing rides there.Towers is far, far more diverse than thorpe in terms of rides. Just look on a park map next time to notice the huge vary compared to thorpes selection of rides which spin!

Spose its cos of runaway always being the quietest of the 6 on EXP which has led to its removal. I'd presume that would've removed the EXP entrance as well - no stupid waiting on the stairs for noone to come anymore.I've also heard of the RMT repaint - and most of the effects in the queue working again. Noice, lets hope its happened so I can disregard my 2007 post above. Christ, over 2yrs ago!

Sounds like flying fish person. "Alright dudes keep those fins inside the fish" "and welcome to sonic spinball". Eurgh.
  19. Thank god they're back to what they should always be called. Someone obviously set marketing straight
  20. Which is free if you're with alliance&leicester which it clearly states
  21. Fred replied to Cringle's topic in UK Attractions
    Remember your entrance ticket.
  22. You'll only be able to work 8hrs a day, chessie became rather strict on that, quite naturally. This'll include the extended open hours
  23. Fred replied to Mark9's topic in The Real World
Nah don't need them, however I'm sure me rides medical will tell me otherwise.

It's written into contract.Talking about contracts, I got mine for another theme park through today, and by golly gosh its almost word for word like chessie's.
  25. Yeah, they could've easily told everyone who booked hotels and tickets and all sorts for the first weekend that its closed. Make sense.I can only imagine that things were set back by the lovely biggest snowfall in 30yrs stuff. Seeing as that was pretty recent, and with the coollddd conditions up north atm, cant be helped.Towers have been amazing for half terms before, its a shame its been affected this time.
