    Its that bloke from CITV!
  2. *wonders who that is*
  3. Definitely, especially if the throughput does end up roughly 800pph, think spinball, but the only ride people really want to go on. Oh deareos.
  4. More exit riders, more disabled riders, more prats and everything. Throughputs are the worst on extremely busy days.

  8. Well the huge burger king sign in the middle is different! I swear it was quite different, though I only went into mcdonalds once (during a break from my induction in 2006!).
  9. Yeah but the real pressing question is.. will we see the end of nero?!
  10. Their food prices were extremely competitive, and they have to be otherwise everyone would've chosen to eat in the branded outlets than their own. Wouldn't make sense. Anyway, if you actually took time out to compare pricing between the merlin and branded outlets, you would realise that even without AP they are similar pricing (around a fiver per meal).
  11. The company which aint bloody responded to job application, the gits .Merlin bringing everything eventually back in-house is putting right the wrongs. It's a bloody good thing, particularly in poor economic climates.

Haha fair enough, we try and benchmark against the bigger companies, but comparing everything is neigh on impossible. Try and find a company of our size or bigger doing unlimited for £50/year though!

Maybe they're being affected by the crunch, lack of credit and all that.. and decided to close a less popular attraction which has the most valuable assets in it?

The amount of contracted hours I do means I'm eligible for benefits, but yeah I get to work for a minimal amount of hours every week. Time to find another job
  22. Fred replied to Theme Park bloke's topic in The Real World
Gah really pissed off with waitrose at the moment! A blanket overtime ban has been put into effect, meaning I can only work my contracted hours (which are stupid stupid things), and therefore I can barely afford rent let alone bloody living expenses each month.Worst still, is that my dept is understaffed anyway, and they're wanting people from checkouts cross-trained to do what I can do a thousand times better due to more indepth training. Just to save a fiver or so per hour, but losing out on the customer service and product knowledge, and pissing off a few of their highly valuable flexible staff, which can do *everything* in their departments! GAH!
