  1. Can imagine that bully puppet announcement being in incredibly poor taste. Winding up guests or upsetting them during a breakdown is the furthest from what you actually want to achieve.

Just imagine they tried stuff which just didn't work. Plus, some stuff has probably broken so literally doesn't work instead ;)

  2. Magic Making do everything. It's really not a biggy at all.

They've done some right stinkers. Most of it's on the right track. I imagine this will be crap though, there's not much they can do.

They changed their name to magic making in 2012, just rarely been used.

  3. Id of thought 2013 was thorpes lower budget year (if they still have the 1 large, small and medium budget years!)

Am looking forward to seeing concept art and plans to see exactly what they are wanting to do.

With the coaster being pushed back to '17 or whenever (and that being an obvious big budget year) it's pretty obvious that cycle didn't last long.

  4. Equally, queuing on the stairs stopped due to Health & Safety intervening. Those stairs are pretty hard kiddos, and with so many girls opting for the 'run up the stairs I'm scared of my boyfriend jumping me' approach; face planting is a daily occurrence.

Yup, weirdly the way to stop people face planting on the stairs is actually by having people queue on them. No running up them can happen then.

  5. I don't get comments like this (I don't mean to pick on just you!)

But we've not even seen plans for this area yet so I don't see what we are basing opinions such as this on?

We can look at angry birds lands at the other two parks in the UK (Sundown and Lightwater Valley), and then we can compare thorpes recent lower cost editions (Storm Surge... a bunch of nothing, flying fish). And then look at a ride that they're implementing, a dodgems.

Not difficult to come to the conclusion that it's gonna be ****.

  6. Hmm, I'm unsure there.. do the outdoor speakers actually like being outdoors?

I've not witnessed any attraction, ANYWHERE, with Bose speakers where all of them work. Thorpes constantly die, towers ones on every ride have dead ones (sub terra and smilers died within a couple of months, with no audio volume changes). JBL seem to work best..

Considering it's bose who do the installation half the time as well.

  7. Plant room would be bubbleworks plantroom - that's located just behind the fountain finale (think left to the "pop in again soon" fireworks bit just before station).

All water treatment areas are called plant rooms. So that'd mean a good 50% of bubbles damaged if it got there as a fair bit of the ride (fairground, lift, potentially station) is surrounded by plant room.

Edit: Reading the article, sounds like it did get to fangtasia shop.

Edit again: On a lighter note.. Karma for doing a half arsed creaky cafe retheme? They never bothered touching the inside and left it with park benches ;).

Wonder what this means for the rest of xmas event, seeing as the grotto is no more.
