THE SWARM: Preview Event?
There will be downtime in its first few days, but the park will probably be expecting this as generally when a rides new it will have a few minor issues. Unless Thorpe have shovelled out money to ride operators, flown them all to Gardaland and got them trained on Raptor, then for most, The Swarm will be completely brand new. But that's okay, Inferno had a few small issues in its first few days of operation. Hence why it is a very good move for Thorpe to be opening on a weekday. Saw was a catastrophic mistake and the park is being very wise.

Oblivion
I do wonder whether Krake will now be as good if not better then Oblivion now that it drops into something and it does have that little bit of extra track after the main drop. Or will Oblivion stay as good as ever because it's simpleness is its greatest asset. Cant wait to ride Krake to find out.

Parks, Rides And Coaster News
I love all the little stuff Disney does during its quieter parts of the year. They really understand that the key to success is to keep your rides, your lands and even your pathways as fresh and clean as possible. Their attitude is refreshing.

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Not that I think anyone is taking this conversation seriously... but these things are called near-misses for a reason.

The Big Bad Movie Topic
The MuppetsChris and I have been waiting for this ever since the first trailers came out last year. With frustration, it's been coming out all over the world.. we seemed to be last to get the film. But it was well worth the wait.Laughs a minute, tears, memorable songs and all the gang back for one last show. We loved it and so did my new Kermit friend. The Muppets - 9/10

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Personally can't wait to stand outside the gate watching him go round and round again. It gave Thirteen that certain Je ne sais quoi on that rides opening day.

Parks, Rides And Coaster News
The contrast between Shambahala and Skyfail is so massive it's not funny. For instancethat is just vile whilst the white and blue of Port Aventuras hyper works really well.

That looks gorgeous.I mean, you can't see much of it, but Storm Runner in the background looks like genius compared to that yellow abomination.

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Hmm. So presumably Swarm won't be stopping at each block break section in the break run then and instead will slow to a crawl and stop just outside the station. That's about Raptor's only flaw as on that you stop twice so by the time you are back in the station, the other train is near the top of the lift hill.

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
I've always maintained that Swarm has the potential to be world class. Looking back on when I rode Raptor in September, I clearly had Katun withdrawal symptoms as I now think of Raptor as a world class ride. It's easy to say why people think Swarm will be better though. For one it's in the UK so far closer then trying to trek through Italy's ridiculous road signs. Secondly, Swarm has far more large scale props in its area then Raptor. And finally the use of effects at Thorpe could even make Raptor look lazy.. if that's even possible.

How I miss car 6 and it's awesomeness.- Chessington 2013
One Acronym and One word. B&M Flyer. Seriously, when was Chessington most seen as the perfect family park? 1999/2000 when it had Samurai, Rodeo and Rameses Revenge alongside Tomb Blaster, Bubbleworks and Flying Jumbos. Nearly ten years on, it's quite clear that rides like Fury and Rattlesnake don't cut it as major rollercoasters. Sure they are fun, but they just can't handle the numbers. A three train B&M flyer eats up as much guests as Vampire, Fury and Rattlesnake put together.Make it so Chessie. :) - THORPE PARK Exclusive TPM Events
