  1. My very easy guide to getting the best out of Thorpe ParkGo to Stealth first, then Rumba and Nemesis Inferno. Make your way back through the park hitting Detonator, Tidal Wave, Flying Fish and the Lost City four. Then go back round towards Colossus, Saw and Samurai. Thats the best way to go round Thorpe.
  2. Well as we all know 'Kevin' is the greatest catch in the sea.
  3. HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY VAMPIRE
  4. The idea of a perfect theme park trip?Awesome people to spend the day with?Good weather?Low queue times?Yeah that was today in a nut shell and the meet for me was a complete success of fun times and excellence. The park itself were excellent hosts with full ride availability, no visible (or seen) ride breakdowns and moderate queue lengths (about 30 minutes max for Vampire). Chessington is for me the perfect park for meet ups. So many rides there are designed for interactivity and groups to enjoy themselves. Monkey Swinger, Dodgems, Tomb Blaster, Buccaneer, Kobra, Runaway Train are all perfect group rides.I just enjoyed the whole trip. My best theme park since Europa Park I'd say. Thanks to Mikey for organizing the meet and on the day itself and Ian for his team leading skills.
  5. babes to me, whatever you say is the word of God
  6. I think this is one of those call in sick moments.

    SAW: Alive

I'm not against the attraction, I just don't think it adds much to the park.Long queues don't make a good attraction.

    SAW: Alive

All I could think was "at least it wasn't a relavant... or interesting... or entertaining... or fun... or worthwhile attraction that burnt".
  10. I'm with a friend. I'm walking down the street. Two people are walking towards me. I move out of their way.Eventually I get tired of being the polite and courteous one and decide, for the next two people, one of them can move. They don't.They end up smacking into the side of me.WHY DON'T YOU BE POLITE AND COURTEOUS AND MOVE OUT OF THE WAY INSTEAD OF STICKING TO YOUR TWO IN A ROW AGENDA
  11. I don't think you have a clue what you're on about.

What if you like family rollercoasters, didn't buy any of the hype and still hate it?
  13. Have Heide Park been watching last years Doctor Who opener?!
  14. I've been asked to quote my original post again. Last time AdamY came up with the Colossus fountain and that was it. Anyone else want to have a go at showing some genuinely outstanding theming that works.
  15. Questions for the meet!1. Is the meal booked for 7 now Sheeps?2. Are we going for ERT in Wild Asia at 9:30 (Do Chessie even still do this)3. Is everyone now booked into the hotelCheers.
  16. Ahem, it's the Gardaland topic, not the Raptor one I agree though, Italy seems to have sprung from nowhere and in quick succession are building ride after ride after ride.Benin's pic is amazing, I think I jizzed to.
  17. Woops, looks like I opened a can of worms here. You see, I agree with Ricky here, But I'm also on Benin's side becuase I feel that if you just limit yourself to discuss just the local parks (or parks you may visit soon) then we end up with endless discussions about things like what Dragons Fury's throughput is (I've posted about three times in the Fury topic alone what its throughput is for example). The beauty of Gardaland's Wing-rider is that the same company is building two similar rides in quick succession. The only times we've seen that in the UK is with Rita/Stealth and Fury/Spinball. It's almost irrelevant that Raptor is in italy because we should be taking a small interest in Raptor because it's a possible indication of what Merlin will be doing with LC12. I guess it's kind of makes the difference between a 'fanboy' and a ride enthusiast. During the closed season I was watching all these rides opening up everywhere such as Hair raiser, Cheetah hunt, Raptor, Krake, Starry Eyed-Ripper, watching Intimadator 305 being retracked and taking a keen interest in Drayton Manor's new rollercoaster because I like rides and the idea that one day I may be lucky enough to go on them. It's irrelevant that I'll probably never ride that awesome woodie in China, but because I like rides I take an interest in whats happening. And not just what Thorpe plan to do with a cheap little rubber ring ride they imported from Cypress Gardens.
