  1. Some would say building a pretty awesome ride in 2012 at Thorpe and then following up with Angry Birds Land two years later, suggest the plot has already been lost. Suffice to say, a Mack mega would be awesome in the UK, I would just rather see it at a park that gives a damn. I would have said Oakwood but they've gone down the dark side too. Southend maybe?
  2. Fantastic trolling there LC.
  3. That's good. But then it is a Saturday so that should be the standard anyway.
  4. Hang on, park has over 2000 safety issues but he's in the wrong for trying to get the park to sort them out whilst the park and Merlin just want to cover up the problems and pretend they don't exist. Don't be so ridiculous. We'd be having a completely different conversation if because of Merlin's negligence, someone had been killed at the park.
  5. Not everyone rushes around theme parks in the way you do.
  6. Sorry Josh, thats just not the case. It's irrelevant. Merlin keep banging on about how they want to be second attendance wise to Disney. And yet, the way their parks are run, you'd think they were lower then Six Flags or Seaworld. Maybe if they got their fingers out, started acting like everyday is a busy day, they may start attracting people back to their little theme park. It's baffling why Thorpe is getting defended about this actually, are people saying they'd rather wait 15/45 minutes then to get more rides in during their visits. Why do you care if Thorpe have to spend a bit more money on keeping their rides at full capacity.
  7. I can compare parks all I want to really. If I'm spending £30 odd a time for a theme park visit, I expect the park to run things to maximum (barring exceptions) at all times. I don't think that's an entirely unrealistic expectation, especially for two train rides like Inferno, Stealth, Colossus and The Swarm. Alton not only runs two trains at all times, its frankly got far superior rides to Thorpe's offering. Max capacity is the icing on the cake there.
  8. Top Spins and Sub Terra clones. Such ambition is unparalleled.
  9. They are all run to give joy to people and to make money (and to please the shareholders). If the (apparently) small gate figures are stuck in queue lines because of one train operation then those same people aren't spending as much money in shops or on snacks and food. The only thing that is benefiting is fastrack which is compounding the problem for the people stuck in queues.
  10. Thing is, if people keep returning or guest levels remain the same, the park won't act to change what they perceive as working. Park looks popular with medium length queues, fastrack levels are steady, lord knows how many 'HAVIN A GREAT DAY WITH MY BAE' Thorpe Park now retweets at me these days. Only way around it is is to vote with your feet, visit Europa Park instead.

  12. No word of a lie, the best sign I have ever seen. Such profession is unmatched in the entire universe.
  13. That's just because the track goes uphill as it goes past Seastorm and the Carousel. If a train gets too close to one in front, the sensor on the front of a train will cut the power until the train in front has cleared. This happens a lot when there are too many trains parked outside the station.
  14. Cause getting off with someone is so important these days.

    Nemesis

    Nemesis has two trains only.

It only runs one train when there's a problem with the other one.
  17. They must be thick, they could have two quick rides in succession. That is proper derpy.
  18. I think his parents are being unacceptable personally. The things I was doing at 16, well lets just say punishing someone for three months would make me rebel and lie to them more as the punishment in no way fits the crime.
  19. I was thinking zero train operation myself, perfect for increasing fastrack sales.
  20. One of the many reasons that queuing at Liseberg or Tivoli Gardens is a joy, why I'd take a 30 minute queue for Kanonen over a 30 minute queue for Stealth and why I've always enjoyed my trips to Adventure Island. Great place to visit.
  21. Had an iPhone 4 for three and a half years and was more or less trouble free. Never cracked it and if I hadn't got water into it, it would still be alive today. I've been on a 5C (In beautiful yellow) since March and it's the best phone I've had so far in my short little life. Works perfectly and has given me no grief. I'm not a fan of Samsung and HTC's. Sure they may be ahead in technology but it doesn't necessarily mean they are the best. I'll definitely be getting an Apple Watch on release, that Mickey fascia.
  22. There's a brief delay on the fountains (2/3 seconds) hence why the front sometimes gets away with it and the back gets a full soaking. Bit concerned to hear operator leaves control briefly..
  23. I call upon Rita: Queen of Speed and The Smiler to take the stand in the witness box.
  24. Interesting. When I rode Riddlers at Magic Mountain, I thought it would be a much better sit down roller coaster then a stand up coaster. I'm sure this won't create a precedent for stand ups being converted with the Mantis change but it is kind of weird to see one take on the change.
