Sidders
I keep watching the park's animated rendering of X-Flight and chuckling to myself at just how fast it looks in the video and how comparatively snail-paced it'll be when it's built. Mark9
Thing is though, Silver Star being a car park coaster kinda works, considering the theme.Nah, it's totally at odds with everything else at Europa Park.. and I'm one of the ones that adores Silver Star. AstroDan
Silver Star fits perfectly down the middle of EP's car park - a simple out and back. Sure, it would be better if every inch was themed - but the car park was altered and adjusted so that the ride fitted perfectly. It isn't just "shoved" on 1/4 of the car park, with bays and the lot underneath. pluk

Benin
Whilst not DIRECTLY ride related, I feel it's important to mention...The creator of that infamous song "It's a Small World" has died...http://www.imdb.com/news/ni23939170/:'(
Ricky
I would of thought the foundations for the tower thing on X-Flight would of been layed prior to track construction
Fred
I love that most parks want to keep a large car park, but not six flags. I can imagine the development meetings now:"ok guys, where we gonna stick this thing?""uhhhh, we could put it on the car park?""BRILLIANT!"Better tell towers, who keep invading car parking space with hotels, golf, Air, and then future plans of expansion using the Air carpark... TraX
The difference in what Alton have done, is that none of the developments look like they're still in a car park.
Fred
True, though the point made in mind was reducing car parking capacity. Something towers actively like to do!Then again, it's always surprised me as to why towers had such a stupidly massive carpark to start off with, and that they don't need one of that size anymore. Bubbles1
Better tell towers, who keep invading car parking space with hotels, golf, Air, and then future plans of expansion using the Air carpark... but, towers has also heard of landscaping
Ricky
Not really, it just happens to be in a well landscaped area of Britain I'm pretty sure they didn't infill those hills all around it you know.
Mark9
Gott alove a bit of tangled up B&Mage. I never realised one of Shambhala's camelback hills was over Dragon Khan's lifthill. Can't wait to ride both this year.
AdamY
With all the Swarm-related excitement today, you could be forgiven for forgetting that the newly improved, HD-ified, set-improved-ified, new-lighting-ified Amazing Adventures of Spiderman opened today at Islands of Adventure! From everything I've read so far it sounds stunning, and most agree it ends the battle between Spidey and Forbidden Journey once and for all. Can't wait to get on it Sheepie
AstroDan
There was no battle.Fordbidden Journey was, hands down, the best dark ride I have ever been on.Spiderman was superb. But no HP.
James6
Agreed, FJ is in a different league.Spiderman is incredible, HP was mind-blowing...
Mark9
Agreed, FJ is in a different league.Spiderman is incredible, HP was mind-blowing...On a scale of 1 to 10, how much better is Harry Potters shed compared to Spidermans? AdamY
I'm not so sure, I always find it hard to say but there's just this niggling feeling in me that no matter how much I want to prefer FJ, I prefer Spidey. I don't know what it is, but I just feel like FJ has all the ingredients but still doesn't quite deliver the full package, I don't know why though. I think my mind changes each time I ride one or other of them But I think for whatever reason, as wrong as this may be, I'm a Spidey fan at heart. Maybe it's just the industrial superhero kinda thing just seems inherently cooler as a concept.
JackR
Forbidden Journey wasn't that amazing. That may be down to the fact that I'm not keen on Harry Potter though. I think Spidey is much cooler because of all the 'drops' you do off of buildings and the fire effects etc.

TraX
I think as stunning FJ is, it just lacks a full story to get involved with, it just throws everything at you in one go (spectacular).Spider-Man has a great story that guests are 'in the middle of' and it makes all the difference! However theming wise (aside from the shed) FJ and it's queue line is just stunning.
AdamY
Agreed on Pooh Mark Just imagining though an FJ standard queue hooked up to Spidey... Would love.
