Sidders
A man walks up to a bridge with a warning sign saying 'MAXIMUM LOAD - 80KG'.The man is carrying 3 bars of gold, each weighing 1KG.The man weighs 78KG.He makes the journey in ONE TRIP, and all the bars of gold reach the other side of the bridge at the SAME TIME as he does. How does he cross safely? Sidders
all the bars of gold reach the other side of the bridge at the SAME TIME as he does.
JoshC.
All the weights are correct to the nearest kilogram. Therefore, all the weights could be -0.5kg lighter than you stated. Therefore, the man weighs 77.5kg, the bars weight 0.5kg and the sign means 79.5 kg.The man walks across with all 3 bars, which totals up to 79kg, which is 0.5kg less than the maximum load and thus gets across safely with all three bars.Probably wrong, but there's always a chance. Alex
Bridges are built to take well over their maximum load.
Mark9
Is the answer, he cuts off one of his arms and some of his body fat.
TimR
Becuase 1KG won't matter, it would if it was a Maximum of 10KG but 1KG over will not make the bridge break.
Sidders
OK, it's a robot man. No excess fat or weight; forgot to mention that in the question.Keep guessing.
Louis
It has just come to me!He is fine to cross as he weighs 78KG altogether, with the gold bars, as he is already holding them.If that makes sense, it was difficult to explain

meme5053
Two identical twins are born on different days, how is this possible?
Chris
One born before 12pm, one born after.
meme5053
Nope!
Alex
Well Chris could be right, you were rather vague. One could have been born at 2359, the other at 0001 the next day.Alternatively, they could both be one half of two different sets of identical twins. So they are both identical twins, but not identical to each other.
