May 26, 200916 yr comment_56927 Do you have any evidence for that? On RCDB it says 1.9, on Wikipedia it says 1.8, so I'm not really sure what to believe, although it doesn't make that much of a difference to me. Are you sure it'd be legal for Thorpe to say they increased its acceleration and then just not?Flick a few pages back......
May 26, 200916 yr comment_56944 I was under the impression they used to measure it from when it left the launch track, but now it is when the catch car begins to slow down. Well thats what I thought anyway =]
May 26, 200916 yr comment_56974 5 times today, with about a 20mins queue at max .I managed two. One at the front . After about 11am it was being run with 2 trains, which completely demolished the queue .
May 26, 200916 yr comment_56979 I managed two. One at the front . After about 11am it was being run with 2 trains, which completely demolished the queue .Same I got one at the front, I loved it today.
May 26, 200916 yr comment_56984 I loved it today. To be honest, before my visit today, I was starting to go off of Thorpe Park. I had been let down so many times in the past with ride reliability, and so many other things, that I was getting a bit tired of going there. But I'm glad to say that today's visit completely turned that around. I was so impressed with the overall service provided, and I had such a fantastic day out. It just shows you, that even if the park is busy, when Thorpe Park get it right, you can have such a fantastic day.
May 26, 200916 yr comment_56987 When they do get it right it's excellent, but it's the fact that (just like queue times) you can just never tell what any one day is gonna be like, and I think it's the consistency that Thorpe need to work on. There are so many things at Thorpe that are just so unpredictable (Slammer being open and the swinging blades on Saw working being two examples that immediately spring to mind), and if they could manage to get everything working all the time then it'd make Thorpe Park an infinitely better day out all the time.
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57050 Same I got one at the front, I loved it today.its so much better at the front:)
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57056 its so much better at the front:)The queue for the front is usually incredibly long, but it's completely worth the wait when you ride.
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57060 The queue for the front is usually incredibly long, but it's completely worth the wait when you ride.yeah I never queue for it unless there is a small queue...same or inferno and Colossus
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57062 yeah I never queue for it unless there is a small queue...same or inferno and ColossusIt's irritating watching the people who were standing next to you in the original queue riding the ride almost instantly while you are still waiting in the Front Row queue.
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57066 It's irritating watching the people who were standing next to you in the original queue riding the ride almost instantly while you are still waiting in the Front Row queue. yeahhI got lucky once in the single rider queue.. I was queueing for about 5 mins and got put on front row:)
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57081 I reckon it's so much better at the back - I had my first back row ride a couple of weeks ago and it was proper good, even though I thought we were gonna roll back and then didn't ):
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57085 I reckon it's so much better at the back - I had my first back row ride a couple of weeks ago and it was proper good, even though I thought we were gonna roll back and then didn't ):never got a rollback :Dbut I really want one
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57088 I was queuing behind the gates, and the train before we were due to ride experienced a rollback.
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57090 Yeah I think it's something everyone hopes for, but the chances of it happening are ridiculously slim. Either way, I still got heaps of airtime going over the top hat of Stealth when sitting at the back, I'd highly recommend it (:
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57116 I was queuing behind the gates, and the train before we were due to ride experienced a rollback.thats also happened to me
May 27, 200916 yr comment_57117 The queue for the front is usually incredibly long, but it's completely worth the wait when you ride.I went on tne 20th and my mate and I got on front row every time, not waiting longer than 15 mins It was good
May 30, 200916 yr comment_57740 I suppose the Yorkie Sponsership isn't too bad. Everytime I see or eat a Yorkie I think of Stealth!
May 30, 200916 yr comment_57760 Meh I don't even notice the Yorkie, it's just there, and it not like they going to make stealth a launching Yorkie Bar lol.
May 30, 200916 yr comment_57767 I think you've just tempted fate, I can see in 5/6 years. "Brand new ride, The Yorkinator" " the worlds first chocolate bar to launch you at 80 mph"
May 30, 200916 yr comment_57768 I think you've just tempted fate, I can see in 5/6 years. "Brand new ride, The Yorkinator" " the worlds first chocolate bar to launch you at 80 mph" That would be awesome!
May 30, 200916 yr comment_57772 Come to think of it - it kind of does look like a yorkie wrapper? If you get a blue car with red bits on it and white.haha
May 30, 200916 yr comment_57786 Well the Buy One Get One Free Offer for Yorkie Bars ends this tuesday. Perhaps the entire sponsorship is ending too?
May 30, 200916 yr comment_57805 Oh no!! I loved those Yorkie bar deals! It was so cheap with the added anual pass discount!
