Paul
yes they should make a modernised version of that I love the current site to be honest. Right on target market. Very graphic. Ideal.
themeparkmad
I love the current site to be honest. Right on target market. Very graphic. Ideal.I do agree with Paul.It doesn't have any screaming people as soon as you put your curser over something! The park have a very professional looking website and I think it should stay as it is.Obviously, there is always room for improvement, but I don't think it needs to be changed majorly like the Thorpe Park one was. StevenVig
That old website is hauling back so many memories! Good find! :PI too must agree with Keith though, as much as I love the old website. The current website is professional, has a friendly UI, and is just generally very tidy.Compare it to Thorpe Park's, which just looks like it's exploded. TP Daniel
It doesn't have any screaming people as soon as you put your curser over something! Can you imagine if someone did that? It would be ridicu-oh, umm, moving on.I like the site as it is. I agree that it hits the target audience well.
themeparkmad
I thought I would be the most appropriate person to post this:For the 2010 season, Chessington & Zoo is now back to Chessington.RIP "& Zoo" ()
James6
I must say, in my opinion I think it's better that way, not that it makes the hugest difference in the world
Paul
I prefer 'Chessington' too. It is sharper, and makes more of a statement. Kids will remember how great 'Chessington' was. I.e.: It's a fantastic world of adventures. Not a long, stringy World of Adventures & Zoo.
themeparkmad
There were two things I really liked about the " & Zoo "1. It annoyed people when I wrote Chessington & Zoo, so I did it even more. :D2. I liked the emphasis of the Zoo and SEA LIFE and how the park had the days where it was the Zoo days. Also, how Chessington used to just be a Zoo as well.Mainly liked for number 1 though!
Paul
I agree in the sense that the name emphasised that Chessington isn't just as theme park, and that it has so much more to offer. That said, I do prefer Chessington.
James6
Ha :PAlso, getting rid of the & Zoo sort of makes the Zoo sound included in the World Of Adventures, and with, by the sounds of it the way the park is going to go in the next few years, that will be better. :DAlso considering that if they added & Zoo to the logo it would look crazy. themeparkmad
Well I certainly got a conversation out of it which is what I was aiming for! :PI do agree that it comes under a "World of Adventures" but because people hated it, I like to be different, so I liked it
MikeyT
Yaay, as predicted then!*That's good because Chessington includes the zoo and is part of the branding. It's not a separate entity all together.*My alter-ego, Sheepie may have predicted it
Kevin
New entrance in a bit better detail.New North Admissions queuing system, which is also the same at South Admissions.
themeparkmad
Thank you for those pictures Outfit!Certainly suits the new Wild Asia and "Britains Wildest Adventure" theme! :DI was actually surprised how busy the car park was after my interview for a Zoo day!I wasn't expecting quite as many people that would turn up! Josh R
It doesn't have the same effect as "Chessington and Zoo and SEALIFE centre and Hotel"
StevenVig
I have to say, if there is anything I like about Wild Asia, it's the new theme of the Admissions Area's it's brought with it.That is all.
themeparkmad
Again, just browsing through the new website and obviously the Annual Pass day has now been confirmed for the 21st March. However, I was shocked to find it was 10am until 3pm.Last years AP Day was until 5pm and they actually ende up closing at 5:30pm due to the amount of people.I find it weird that the Annual Pass day is only until 3pm to be honest! Paul
I absolutely love the new admissions theming!
MikeyT
Just to clear things up. The admissions areas aren't themed around Wild Asia, it's more the generic 'gateway to adventure' look they've gone for. It's a brand that's being used well throughout the website and I imagine through all promotional mediums as well. For instance when they get around to doing a European themed area, I doubt they'd be re- theming it to represent European architecture!
