September 5, 200916 yr comment_69197 Got stuck on this at the bottom of the lift for 20 minutes today! Rather depressing really...You were happy being stuck on Bubbleworks, but not on SAW: The Ride? Why was it depressing Ricky?
September 5, 200916 yr comment_69198 Stuck with a load of spanish people, also it was 20 minutes of watching people walk by pointing and staring and then all I can see else is up into the station and the tower.
September 5, 200916 yr comment_69199 you could have fell asleep. that would be funny having a dream on saw
September 6, 200916 yr comment_69235 Haha! My friend had a similar experience to the one you just desribed, but about halfway through saw I think he blacked out and he came to just as we were going back into the station. The only thing he could remember was queueing up and I think its quite sad that he forgot the whole ride!
September 6, 200916 yr comment_69239 I agree, it is dissapointing, even if you know it's not working, when you go over it and nothing happens. :)Hopefully it'll stay in operation longer than last time
September 6, 200916 yr comment_69246 If you sit in the middle it actually gets you quite wet, its great!
September 6, 200916 yr comment_69249 If you sit in the middle it actually gets you quite wet, its great! It reminds me of Rameses when you sit in the middle!
September 6, 200916 yr comment_69267 Got stuck on this at the bottom of the lift for 20 minutes today! Rather depressing really...The depressing part of it all was the staff member telling everyone 'Saw hasn't really had any problems since July'. Hmm, I could argue against that. (I was in the car behind Ricky's, stuck in the same place)
September 6, 200916 yr comment_69313 It got evacuated today, the queue as well. Was down for about 2-3 hours as a result
September 6, 200916 yr comment_69319 Glad I only got stuck for 20 minutes yesterday! being evacuated would ruin my day.
September 6, 200916 yr comment_69356 If you sit in the middle it actually gets you quite wet, its great!I sat in the middle on the 30th August and I did not get wet at all! (The body water feature was in operation though).
September 7, 200916 yr comment_69379 I sat in the middle on the 30th August and I did not get wet at all! (The body water feature was in operation though).Oh on the 29th it was really powerful, it got me nearly as wet as you do on Loggers main drop.
September 7, 200916 yr comment_69382 I think that they ahould dye the water red, make it more realistic to blood...
September 7, 200916 yr comment_69383 If I remember rightly, on my first ride a few weeks after opening, the water was red. Here's a video on Thorpe's Facbook of SAW: The Ride.Saw Video on Thorpe's FacebookI think it's an amazing video and shows the ride off in the perfect way..Sorry if it's already been brought up.
September 7, 200916 yr comment_69386 As people have said...The water should be red, if getting riders wet, as it is more realistic.I think, without the water being red, it takes away the whole effect it is supposed to give.Anyone got any red dye?
September 7, 200916 yr comment_69411 Wouldn't that make it slightly uncomfortable for guests? mabye they should have some red lights near it that make it look like blood.
September 7, 200916 yr comment_69430 Wouldn't that make it slightly uncomfortable for guests? mabye they should have some red lights near it that make it look like blood.I like the idea of having red liquid, but I very much like the idea of just having red lights on the water, like Tim said. It would be just as realistic in my opinion, although it would be quite good if riders were covered in "blood" when they exit the ride. (As long as the dye is not clothes or skin staining obviously!)
September 7, 200916 yr comment_69439 But how painful would it be to have red dye sprayed into your eyes? No matter how skin friendly it is, it will be uncomfortable to the eyes.
September 7, 200916 yr comment_69440 But how painful would it be to have red dye sprayed into your eyes? No matter how skin friendly it is, it will be uncomfortable to the eyes.Usually, it's very uncomfortable to have water or anything sprayed in your eyes. But on rides where water is sprayed directly into your eyes (SAW, Rameses etc), riders don't seem to notice. Obviously the red dye used isn't going to be an irritant substance, it's just common sense to make sure that it is completely harmless. Even if it isn't red dye, there must be a red liquid out there that is skin/eye friendly, and non-irritant.
