Stokesyboy
The pictures coming from Towers Nerd look pretty good! Think this will be the better attraction!
Billy the Puppet
But now towers can see that they haven't over hyped ice age and it's turning out to get the most posotive feedback. thorpeparkjack
AstroDan
Really cracking 4D this! The theming is really good for what it is, far more than I expected. The actual theatre looks great, too.
pluk
It is superb; really well executed and immersive effects, crisp visuals even with the cardboard glasses and a fun film. If I was going to be hyper critical I'd say it is a little repetitive even in such a short space of time (yeah, we get it, snot is wet) and could be edited a bit better to give a little more narrative and little less constant frantic action to pace it better. But really I think it is about as good as it could be, very much the stronger of Altons new attractions for this year.
TPGG
How long is the film?
Ryan
How long is the film?I've heard it's around 15 minutes.
pluk
Felt a bit less than that to me. Would guess it is 10 mins, plus a 5 min turnaround so a showing every 15 mins.
Benin
Yeah it's ok... Some of the effects are slightly out of time, but it's alright actually...Not sommat I'd do on every visit, but, least it makes that building's attraction actually viable for me, rather than past residents... AstroDan
The TowersStreet Facebook has revealed that Alton Towers have a new 4D film for 2015 in the Ice Age theatre! Great news... the old one had done its time and this an unexpected new addition for the new season!  "Ice Age - The 4D Experience: No time for nuts!" featuring SCRAT! pluk
pluk
Fanboys seem to hate on Ice Age for some reason. I really like it; something a bit different to break up the nonstop rides, with decent effects and an amusing if not groundbreaking hacked down film. Good to see them keeping it fresh. OldFarmerDean
2 years is enough for a 4d film in my opinion especially when you end up watching it several times in a year... And then for it to be there for a third year, and certainly was worrying about a 4th, so this news is very welcome; this news isn't exclusive, it just says on the 2015 map on the Alton Towers pullout in The Sun. The fact it uses a Scrat based short film is going to be amazing... The best bit about ice age tbh. And it's gonna be new, so
OldFarmerDean
So went yesterday... And was very disappointed to find that it's still the same old dawn of the dinosaurs version!! On the plus side the foam/snow and water effects seemes to be ridiculously overused compared to what I remember, got covered in the foam aha!
