Quick Questions

Got a quick question you need answering? Post it here and somebody is bound to give you an answer!

  1. Started by Mark9,

Right, so instead of endless topics asking us how busy the park is going to be, instead here is a rough guide to the kind of business the park/s should be expecting this season. It's not set in stone and remember business can be effected by weather, ride reliability, mount of trains/cars on the rollercoasters, amount of staff working on things, fastrack etc etc etc!10am - 5pm Weekday. Likely to be very empty, particularly in term time. Queue time should be minimal (Unless your name is Stealth and you have a stupid system where you can only load 4 in the first, 8 in the second and then you end up rolling back anyway etc etc) 10am-5pm Weekend. Will be emptyish, however lik…

  2. Started by Rhythmos,

Hey all 😄 Does anybody happen to have a high-res copy of The Swarm’s triangle logo? (Or a clear photograph?)

  3. Just a quick question on how busy it's estimated to be on the 29th of March this year. Any replies would be much appreciated. Thank you!

  4. Started by Inferno,

Something I’ve wondered on and off over the years… Does anyone happen to know the sort of figures that visit Thorpe per day? For example, how many guests are usually there on average? What is the capacity crowd levels on the busiest sell-out days? How many people are there on the quietest of September weekdays? I’d be interested to see how the numbers compare to things like stadiums etc, as it’s so hard to visualise since people are spread out across the park.

  5. Started by Jax,

Hi again all! Just wondering what time the on-site ticket centre opens to exchange Island Return Guarantee tickets into entry tickets; I've heard it's somewhere around the 9 o'clock mark but just asking to make sure Cheers everyone!

  6. Started by Jax,

Hi there all, I'm off to Thorpe Park on Tuesday and I am a bit nervous in terms of height restrictions and limits, specifically the ones on The Swarm and Stealth (as I can do without Colossus ). I am a 6ft 2'' (nearly 6ft 3'') 15yo male and wondering on whether the limits will be a problem for me, either now or in the future. If any of you could share your experiences with the height limits and give a little bit of peace of mind on the matter, that would be great. Cheers!

  7. I would like to know if the thorpe park rangers are still under copyright as it's been years since ive seen anything about them, apart from the new pin badge set of them.

  8. Started by Parm Pap,

oh well the hypes all here, but once this is clear, what will you see, in our park in Chertsey vote now, a rolley, scarey, flatey, or anotherey --- Mod translation: What do you think will be the next bigger investment at Thorpe Park? -A roller coaster -A permanent scare attraction -A flat ride -Something else

  9. I'm looking to build a network of like minded coaster friends ideally based in/ around Hampshire. I regard myself as a passive theme park nerd. I like to travel the world and enjoy coasters and theme parks but I don't really engage with the community or go super hardcore with the coaster geekiness. Instead I drag my partner around or anyone else in the family that's willing to go on a trip. I need to give the family a break! So I am looking to network with people on Whatsapp etc and make friends with the possibility of meeting at Thorpe at some point in the future if all goes well. Happy to create a WhatsApp group if several people ar…

  10. Hi: Is it still only the last 2 turnstills on the far right for passholders or can you go to any of them? Are their workers there to help or is it do it yourself like in Alton towers. Its usually faster when you do it yourself, but would like to know how Thorpe Park operates now this new year 2024. Thanks!!

Random question of the day!...I was just wondering if any of you lovely people on here have recently bought a lovely enamel Thorpe Park pin badge recently? I know that this may sound like an add request but if you did, would someone mind messaging a picture of the back of the packaging please (I told you it was an odd request!) Lots of thank yous in advance!

  12. I was at Thorpe with my mates and during around 5 30 the swarm was going up the lift hill, and stopped right before the first drop. I know this could be because a cart went slowly, but did anyone go there and see it or am I the only one

  15. Started by tactic,

Hi everyone, I’m going to thorpe on Tuesday and since my last visit to the park I’ve been in hospital and am now on medication for the rest of life. My doctor says that standing in a queue for a prolonged period of time wouldn’t be good for me as it would cause me extreme fatigue and other side effects. How do I apply for a ride access pass so I can queue virtually somewhere else where I can sit down? Do I need to apply for RAP every time I go to the park or is there some way I can get something that allows me to have it every time I visit? Thanks for the help in advance!

I've rencently started hearing more things in the community about a special MAP facebook group where people get updates on ride development and stuff like that. I've had my annual pass for about a year now and was wondering if I can join it, I've tried looking online and had no luck finding anything? Thanks for the help in advance!

Hey Hope your all enjoying your weekend. just wondering if Thorpe Park still do Pops anywhere? I know there used to be the pop machines but do you get them at the shark? Around the park? Ect. I know merlin are trying to remove them but I’ve seen people with them. Thanks!!

  18. Started by Marley,

This goes for all Merlin parks in the UK (except Legoland cos it looks like hell on earth). Years ago, when purchasing a ticket, on the reverse side there would be an offer to return to the park the next day at a heavily discounted price, last time I went it was like a fiver to return the next day. Does this offer still exist? I was planning of making a trip to Alton Towers at some point by buying a ticket on the day and then using Bounceback but I am unaware if the Bounceback offer even exists anymore.

  20. Started by carlsimons,

I have a disability and have just received my access card to prove this. I'm now going to use this to apply for a ride access pass with Thorpe Park. My question is, with a ride access pass, do I still have to wait the normal queue time each ride before I go onto the next ride? For example, if stealth has an hour wait do I have to still wait the hour before I can use the pass on the next ride? Or can I use it to just get access to the disabled queue rather than the normal queue? Hope that makes sense Thank you

Hey guys, I am planning to go to TP on mid-May with my parthner. Based on your experience with the park, do you think we could possibly do most of the park in one day (either a Thursday or a Friday)? I was wondering whether we should spend 2 days at TP or 1 day at TP and 1 day at Chessington / Legoland. Really unsure what queue times look like.

  23. Hi all, I'm looking to purchase some "Bring A Friend" tickets for £20 each later in the year (I have a valid 2022 Annual Pass and this was listed as one of the bonuses) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas for the dates when this is possible? All I can find is it listed as "selected dates" and when you try to book them at https://www.thorpepark.com/tickets-passes/passes/thorpe-passes/ all the dates are greyed out and unavailable. Am I missing something? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Hello All! I'm considering buying a Merlin Silver Monthly Membership pass, since they are currently having a sale by ditching the joining fee. I'm interested in Ride Photography as well but I'm having trouble finding details about this at the 'main' Merlin UK theme parks. How does this work these days? Is there a package that covers photography at all the parks? Or do I have to get a separate photography package for each park? Thanks in advance!

Good morning I'm looking to go to Thorpe Park with two of my nieces the only problem I have is I am a plus size girl but my chest size is very very large I'm a j and I'm worried about the pressure it will have on my chest if the restraints are too tight as iv had this before and to be honest it's scary how tight it can be and the breathing but I don't want to let my nieces down and go all that way to not to be able to ride with them
