  1. Why would they remove Big Top though? It was consistently one of the most popular mazes for the past 2 seasons, and IMO the most solid in the lineup last year. Only reasons I can think of are operational cutbacks and/or a lack of skilled staff to build and configure all the effects?

  2. Hi everyone, Halloween is coming up and that means we will be holding the annual TPM Thorpe Park Fright Nights meet. Based on a poll the date of the event has been set to Saturday 13th October 2018. Please message or reply below if you plan on attending even if you voted in the poll. The event will take place over the whole day as the park will be open 10am - 10pm, with horror mazes from 3PM. Below is the provisional plan for the day: Park opening - Meet in the dome 10:15 - Start making way around the rides 1:30ish - Lunch 2:30 - Meet back up and start making way to first maze choice. 3:30 onwards - More mazes and rides in the dark until close (maybe another stop for food later if people hungry) The meets are great fun and everyone is invited, even if you have never posted before or even been to a meet at all. If it's your first meet, I understand it can be nerve breaking - but we were all there once before, so all know the feeling, please don't let this stop you from attending. Once you are there you'll be part of the group in no time at all! Everyone attending will have my number or be a part of a FB messenger group. 4. Well I definitely won’t be going to FN if Big Top isn’t returning. That leaves potentially only three exclusive Fright Nights attractions, Platform, Blair Witch & Sanctum (Or whatever replaces it). Opening the other mazes early is of course good in the way it brings more attractions to the park in general but bad in that it devalues the Fright Nights event. Meanwhile Tulley’s are adding a ninth scare attraction to their event! The Cellar will be more intense and the Colony extension sounds like it’s easily going to be over half an hour long this year.

  5. The Big Top is easily the most well paced, well designed, and most popular maze at the event for the past two years, if it bites the dust I will not even make the effort to come to Fright Night! Thorpe getting rid of Big Top would be like Tulleys removing the Hayride! Stupid

  6. Agree I think the “no where is safe” could suggest to seeing more around the park, will be interesting to see what that is!

  7. I didn't understand why there was such a huge focus on enthusiasts when they could have filled the time with more insightful stuff (though it was nice to see Fobia get some TV time). Also, "it's ****ed" was good but not quite "get the damn thing open" or "that is a new machine!"

  8. Fright Nights is dead... Tulleys is the place to be, all original themed mazes and done to a much better standard. Bring back pre-2013 Fright Nights ?

@StevenVig do you still have these photos? They don't appear anymore and would love to see them. I know it was 8 years ago but thought I would ask ?

  11. Says a lot that all the replies to the tweets are talking about potential IPs for a new attraction (none of them Blair Witch). Thorpe have conditioned their audience to expect IPs now, completely killing any potential scope for creativity beyond an IP now.
