With all the credit crunch and the fact that a lot of the rides at the Pleasure Beach are old, and half of them are owned by the bank, do you think Blackpool Pleasure beach will survive much longer?. what are your thaughts

I'd be umm-ing and err-ing about whether to make a thread for Walibi Belgium, but their new coaster is intriguing me more and more, so figured I may as well... Pulsar, opening in early June, is a new Mack Power Splash coaster. Promo video... Essentially, the ride features 3 launches (eventually reaching a speed of about 62mph) and one massive splashdown (the promo video shows a couple, but there is only one). It sounds like such a weird, unnecessary and silly attraction, but at the same time, I think it could be quite fun! To help improve throughputs, there will be 2 boats / cars. One is on the track, the other in the station, which is separated by a turntable. During the queue, there are 2 'pre show' areas to help tell the story of the ride, which revolves around some weird, mysterious object falling from the sky and controlling the water...or something. Anyways, some photos... (photo about a month old) More recent. Above photos from Club Walibi Belgium Turntable / station. Boat! (From looopings.nl) And some concept art, from pretparken.be... As I say, despite my head saying this will be a bit naff, I think it's quite a novel idea and could actually be quite fun, even if it is just to look at. And, at the very least, it's nice to see the park making a near £7million investment in a coaster, especially since it has troubles with planning permission, locals and the like... Oh, and the music is being done my IMAScore, so it'll be fab just for that.

Please don't kill me but.... Time for the annual, hated, despised, detested and loathed Thorpe Park Rides and Attractions Game! As annoying as this now is it wouldn't be the same going through a closed season without this game! As ever, very simple rules: Each ride starts a round with 5 points Must give a ride +1 and -1 every go Before having a second turn must what three turns (other replies) Once a ride hits 0 it is removed and points reset to 5 for every ride I have not included Walking Dead, Jungle Escape and DBGT as they did not open this year. Will we have the same ride as the last few years end up victorious again this year and lead to tears and tatrums once more? Let the game commence! Amity Beach (5) Angry Birds 4D Experience (5) Colossus (5) Depth Charge (5) Detonator: Bomb's Away (5) Flying Fish (5) King Pig's Wild Hog Dodgems (5) Lumber Jump (5) Mr. Monkey's Banana Ride (5) Nemesis Inferno (6) Quantum (5) Rocky Express (5) Rumba Rapids (5) Rush (5) Samurai (5) Saw - The Ride (5) Stealth (5) Storm in a Teacup (5) Storm Surge (5) The Swarm (5) Tidal Wave (5) Timber Tug Boat (5) Vortex (5) Wet Wet Wet (4) Zodiac (5) Nemesis Inferno +1 Wet Wet Wet -1

It is going to be a capacity nightmare if it does a similar cycle to Magma or even half the time TBH. With slow loading times often and 20 seats available, with propably half allocated to RAP and fasttrack I see this regularly have a 90 to 120 minutes queue. Yes it is nice that they are (sort of) 'adding' a flat although it's more a replacement. Still, at least no loss in number of attractions I guess.

Oh yeah, for some reason I remembered it launching but it bounces a lot instead, which is still better than I expected so that's something.
