When talking to a staff member on a lift hill climb (on Swarm), apparently they installed an anti-rollback system. He said it can't rollback but it can get stuck. Does anyone know has this anti-rollback system works or if it exists?

     I would say that's a complete lie.

  2. They'll do rotations, especially depending on the environment. Actors aren't supposed to work in a strobe environment for more then 45 minutes at a time, so it's likely they'll have 3 sets of actors rotating throughout the day.

You've missed the point I was making. Read the sentence again and then read my previous post on the previous page.

  3. Weather the werewolf thing is in the audio or not, I defiantly think there could be some sort of werewolf Involved ! , think the 12 different monsters could be , dolls, demons, ghosts, werewolfs, anything really !

I wonder if there's a mid-course break run or if the actors will be allowed 15 minute brakes every hour? :glare:

  4. It was at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, price peaked at like £8 and the queue on both sides of the ride was full... So £8 for a short ride cycle just a little ridiculous! It was better in the day when they charged like £4 and had a good few minutes :)

:o Can go on it for a £1 at my fair on certain days.

  5. Inferno was amazing yesterday!! the mist was on and it was quite powerful and refreshing haha! also under the loop there was some thing that kept happening like just before the train hit the loop it would shoot up water which was cool!

    That would be the "geyser"

  6. They have used 3 every time I have visited. One by the exit gate and two in the operating booths. If a fourth staff member was acquired, the batching and balancing could be done whilst it is being operated. It would also mean the operators don't have the task themselves of doing this.

I'm just glad slammer is running though, and the other rides(Dodgems, zodiac, vortex etc.) have had much worse operations lately so slammer seems like it has good operations at the moment :)

It's been closed the last few days.

  7. The unfortunate way Merlin parks are run. Once the budget for the day is decided and commited to they can't just swap between 1/2 train operation on a whim. It needs a minimum of 2 extra staff and more on top of that to cover all the staff breaks and finding that at 1:30/2pm is near-on impossible with the day already in full swing so to speak. Either that or engineering just couldn't get 2 trains ready because one was being worked on and not in an operating condition at the time.

    I'm not excusing, just explaining.

Oh I know why it's just plain wrong. I looked in the shed and they were working on the spare 3rd train. Other looked fine. I'm pretty sure nothing was wrong with the other one as all coasters were on 1 train. (Saw excluded)

  8. Apparently it was the 1 millionth from the literal first car in testing, and not with riders; so technically the 1 millionth hasn't been hit yet, well it might have now. IDK how many test cars were sent :P

Surely technically the 1 millionth has been hit if they are counting it that way?
