  1. Just a point - on the signpost on Theme UK, ADVENTURE POINT and WILD WOODS are in block capitals but everything else is in normal type
  2. Love how they even refer to it as DBGT in the blog, even Thorpe admit the title is too long Wonder how late in the season DBGTROTD is going to open then? Not quite sure why it won't be ready for opening but hey ho... I guess 4 months of closed season isn't very long is it? (!)
  3. Well all things on social media seem to point to an 18th March opening still anyway... fingers crossed that's correct.
  4. Just had a thought - they best not mess up the DBGT entrance sign (arguably one of the best things about the ride) when it becomes DBGTROTD #prayforthelightupbluesign
  5. I still believe the Twitters tbh m8, social media don't never get nuffing wrong!
  6. I might have to bet buying an AP in 2018 that Loggers is never coming back. Looks like my 2017 bet is safe. The longer it's shut, the condition of the thing can only surely get worse. As I've pointed out before - there are obvious structrual issues with the track supports as they are using temporary support systems in a number of places. One would assume getting Loggers open again to a standard that mega H&S conscious Merlin are happy with will take a lot of money - money that perhaps has had to be diverted down other "tracks"
  7. I'm positive that the website is incorrect and will be open on peak days only as obviously it's not cost effective to have the number of staff it requires on the attraction when there isn't a queue to justify it. Thorpe don't want to be paying people to stand around when they could be sharing my demon outfit duties. If you think the computers running the VR had a hard time in the heat of those carriages, you try walking around in that demon monstrosity in a converted bit of shop, rumours that DBGTROTD is sponsored by Right Guard as yet TBC.
  8. Hilarious stuff, this is evidently going to be the trend going forward. Many thanks to Thorpe for making sure that their park is clean and tidy for the new season
  9. On a different note - is the ride now just The Big One? When did Pepsi Max sponsorship end if so?
  10. Not possible, Loggers is open for 2017 m8.
  11. Was about to say the same thing re: metal building. Incredibly poor if that stays "as is". Maybe they'll put some plants in the way or something
  12. "Netflix and Kill" is a good pun and I commend them for that
  13. That's the plan mid-season when they start making cut backs, but you aren't supposed to know that yet.
  14. Black Buccaneer looks fab. I know the grey weather doesn't help, but in those photos my goodness doesn't Chessie look run down? What a state.
  15. I suppose, worst case, my demon costume can be painted brown for 2018. Can't need too much tweaking to change it to a Gruffalo
  16. Was saying to @RubyRed95 t'other day - it amazes me that IACGMOOH is "only" 2 years old... it feels like we've had it a lot longer Is this year the last year of the IP before it's due for renewal? Gruffalo Maze, lads?

    2017

If Ramases is still alive (just) after 22 years then I think Colossus has a little while yet.
  18. My source still can confirm that WC16 will feature a train carriage if this helps. I have heard that there will be some new music on park this year (Sauce: Daddie's) but I'd be very pleasantly surprised if a CD is released. Do the kidz even know what a CD is nowadays anyway? Surely just put it on iTunes or Spotify bruv. Isn't getting near park map time soon? Or was it last year that we didn't see that OLD TOWN existed until AP day?
  19. That's because by the time you've said the new name of the ride in full you forget what words you started the sentence with.

    Locations!

Southsea now for 3 and a half years after living in Farnborough & Camberley the rest of my life - I don't miss home one jot to be honest, there's always something going on in Southsea/Portsmouth - free music, events, markets, arts and craft events... then there's a great community of local independent businesses (pubs, restaurants etc.) that I'm proud to know as friends. Portsmouth has a bit of a bad rep but I honestly love it here. Having the sea at the end of my road and Southsea Common 15 minutes away... plus Victorious Festival every year, I just love it Oh and and it's considerably cheaper than home too! It's things like takeaways and taxis where you notice it - at home I'd never ever get a taxi but round here there's so much competition (even more so with Uber too) that it's cheaper if there's 2 of you to get a taxi than get a bus!
  21. Literally no words, just saw that video on Facebook. Something has gone seriously seriously wrong for that to happen... Assume lap bar not locked correctly or she was too short to ride? Anything is possible with a Chinese knock off I suppose The poor girl had no chance judging by how bent the safety barrier was after she was thrown into it
