I have an idea... why doesn't EVERYONE just drop this and move on? No one can change what has been said, so just accept that is has been said (you don't have to agree with it) and move on. Judging by the amount of posts people have made essentially telling RideAddict he is wrong, it's obviously falling onto deaf ears. Quit feeding the troll and move on...
On another note, essay writing is a bore, but it's super stressful when one essay is worth 100% of your unit grade and you can't even submit a first draft. If first year has caused me to stress I dread to think what second year is going to bring!

Yup, and that same logo in white is on the front of The Swarm. I think it's also stamped on the side on the Storm Surge boats as well.

A big thank you to THORPE PARK for such a great opportunity. TPM Team in helping me get it together and the community for being extremely co-operative during the entire day. (Plus everyone stayed together throughout the whole meet - whoop - thanks everyone)
For me the day was fantastic, apart from the blip of my wallet going walkies which put me in a bit of a situation to where I had to leave the group for an hour getting things sorted, so apologies to everyone that the 5 part trip report may not be as varied as I originally hoped due to me not being there at all points to catch the 'moments' (however I do have some good material)
On a more positive note - got a call today, saying my wallet has been found (cashless but only a pitance in there anyway) so I don't need to replace everything now so now quite chuffed. (Thank you Seb)
Right I will try my best to do part 1 of the trip report today but If I don't have the time I will give you a double whammy tomorrow

This may come as a bit of a surprise considering how I have been dead against chart music playing throughout the park in the past, but I personally think "The Noise" is a definite improvement over the way that the chart music has been used in the last few years.

With its mix of new music, DJ announcements (albeit pre-recorded) and park adverts it slightly reminds me of the good old Thorpe Park Radio days!

First off, many thanks to Peaj for being a great host, organiser, and all round nice bloke, and thanks to Thorpe Park to letting us have the opportunity in the first place! Of course thankyou to everyone on here for making me feel SO welcome, what a bloody nice bunch of people you are! Particular hellos to Peaj, Michelle, Sidders, Dodge, Pluk, IanNem and Mr. Fish for various chats during the day! There were others but I can't recall forumnames right now with 30+ people, lol - how does Peaj do it?!

I won't do a full trip report as I'm sure there'll be plenty of those, but here are my bulletted highlights! I can't WAIT to see the photos that Peaj took!

Swarm ERT after the park had closed... even if I did only brave 2 rides round as I was feeling a little ill after being on park for 10 hours! Luckily there were others to take my place! Sorry for that but I didn't want to make myself ill, wouldn't have been good for the PR shots
Hearing YMCA, Dancing Queen, Reach and Macarena in the Swarm station was amaze, I'll probably never witness that again!

I give a toss. I find it lazy when a park cannot think up their own story/theme and end up with a film based ride. This is unless of course your park is owned by a film distribution company.

Agreed re: Peaj and his wallet - that would've completely ruined my Day but he completely took it in his stride! Glad it wasn't just me that couldn't handle all those Swarm re-rides! I had the same concerns for myself! Sidders had me in stitches after about 2 minutes of meeting him, he literally ran off into the park and was like a kid in a sweet shop, bloody brilliant I did witness him hugging the B&M goodness out of an Inferno support too!
Love reading the reviews of the day, can't wait for more and photos too when the rest of the members get back home!

Finally got round to doing some more responses:
We know everyone has different schedules so will cater as much as possible for all these different schedules. Also to keep the momentum going we will be trying to organize as many trips as possible within the year and know that even though some people may not need any warning there are others that need as much as possible, sadly though for ERT events we cannot give lots of warning as it all depends on when Thorpe Park will let us so:
After a trip has happened, another new trip will be announced a week later. The day of the trip will have a suggested date that will suggest different days of the week, but this date will be put up to a poll alongside other dates to see what day is the most popular within the community for 2 weeks before the poll is closed and the actual date is confirmed.
Due to this method you will sometimes find the next 2 upcoming trips as the next trip will already have been confirmed after the previous meet! This will mean you will wait no longer than 8 weeks before the next meet and often a lot shorter.

Regarding ERT events - Anyone who wants to come is more than welcome to attend, however there maybe the occasion when there are a limited amount of spaces. We do want everyone who wants to attend take on this opportunity but it's understandable people would like an element of fairness, therefore:
For exclusive ERT events, you will get a provisional place on a first come first served basis. However confirmed places will be sent to you by a PM after those who are interested have been confirmed. Confirmed places will be given to those who have taken an active interest in attending meets and/ or who have been to meets. The more interest you show the more of a priority you will become to gain an exclusive spot. This ensures that people who actively try to attend (whether they can or not) will gain a spot and those who only turn up to an exclusive ERT event to not ever be seen again will not!
I have a spreadsheet at home that I have set up to keep track of the people who have shown interest in meets as they have either come to one before or have contacted me and I have this to ensure no one gets left out and that I remember everyone. Now I understand any newer members may think this is unfair on them, but in time the more you participate the quicker you will go up the priority list and at the moment with the numbers that attend meets on average at the moment this should not be an issue at all for the time being.
This also means that if you have a plus 1 and there are not enough spaces then your friend will not be able to join us if there are limited places. There are set 'grades' of participation level I have set on the spreadsheet so if there are limited places, the most active grades will get the place. If there are members who are within the same grade and their are not enough spaces to accommodate all of them then the one's who contacted first to attend the event within that grade will gain their spot.
