Fantastic moments on meh attractions!
Everyone has that emotion, that plus 1 attraction you've queued an hour for expecting a dull or boring experience, when suddenly mid ride a moment of pure excitement erupts for a few seconds before the ride resumes it's rather bland affair with life... What are your standout moments of awful/dull/average rides? This could be any part of any ride... To start off, the tunnel dive on Vampire and Runaway Train are both memorable moments on bang average rides... Baco's awfulness is at odds with the launch sequence... Most Intamin coasters have that fantastic first drop then meander for ages... Let's try and have some proper discussion eh?

Logger's Leap
But I thought Thorpe wanted to bring more families to the park? And treating Twitter responses as the official line? Never a good idea with the distinct lack of communication between departments...

Top 10 deceased attractions you wished to have experienced
It's ok, you can still ride Jaws at Universal Studios Japan! There's probably a Corkscrew clone sitting somewhere in the world too...

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Just a general shame that all that time and effort was just for marketing, imagine if the puppet was actually in the ride? Even if just an exit pathway scare...

Europa Park
Neither of those actually answer his questions there... For train routes, best bet is Deustche Bahn's official site... Should be able to input everything and get lots of information... Continental train services are far superior to the UK, and I think the trip is relatively simple and involves two trains, but I've never done it, but some on here have... There should be links to shuttle information on the Europa website... Probably in their directions tab... When I used one it was €100 EACH WAY, this might have changed but I doubt it somehow... All info (and shuttle links) are at http://www.europapark.de/en/services-info/worth-knowing/getting-here

Your Plans for 2017
Probably continue mopping up a few UK creds I need, in no desperate mood to go to any Merlin park... Abroad probably a few here and there... Plopsa, Efteling, Asterix, DLP and Port Aventura are on the wish list, plus a few plus 1s I'm sure... Finland would be the potential big trip (like I've said for like 3 years it feels)...

Favourite Merlin Dungeon
What is a good summary of modern Merlin is using some of the exact same snippets of speech in both the London Sweeney Todd room and Blackpool's pirate room...

Gardaland
Did you do Ramses? Garda probably has two of the fabbest crap European dark rides in the entirety of Europe...

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Will be interesting to see the general consensus once people have ridden it... To me it wasn't the greatest thing since sliced bread (It's one of those 'pedestal' coasters) but it is good fun and very enjoyable... At night

Alton Towers News
The two live action mazes? I liked Sub Terra, it was actually the sort of thing I want more of, especially for filler attractions (story driven and actually well themed)... Unfortunately the amount of problems it had (both technical and guest wise) has turned it into a bit of a white elephant, especially after Smiler crashed...

Heide Park
It's marketing guff, besides it just shows how far behind the curve Merlin are when 7D is so prevalent in Asia...

Mack Rides
Premier did use the moving station idea for a few of their shuttle launches, so it's not a really new idea, just never been used to a suitable potential by other companies...

The 2016 Thread
I would say that the park employees do care actually, they're just not given any form of budget to do anything about it as it's not a priority...

Alton Towers News
Maybe some of the current park managers will be given the boot? I prescribe to the notion that the best way to deal with this year was to be the best they could be, even in the face of the incident and resulting coverage... Guest numbers would've fallen regardless of their decisions, but if they had kept going and not had all the closed rides/shops/eateries then those who did visit would have gained a good visit and kept the reputation relatively intact in terms of Trip Advisor/Facebook/Twitter reviews... I don't think that has been the case, but unfortunately it seems that this is part of the business ideals, which can often do more long term damage... I'd imagine the standard guest visiting would think that those closed rides were closed due to safety concerns (well, Sub Terra was), that's one issue in itself badly dealt with... Then add on the embarrassing TLC thing and it's no surprise we end up with further permanent cuts, because the steps taken post Smiler weren't the right ones...
