Things like that building just lazily painted over in green highlight how low-key this investment is. They had potential to do anything with that! Make it look like birds have slammed into the wall where the cracks are, (have a slingshot near it then birds in the wall maybe?) yet they've chosen to leave it like that, which IMO looks very poor.

Personally I hope they keep it's current Black Hole audio (or even better the bit from Scream at Heide Park that they sometimes use).

That's of no interest to me, there are already enough pay extra things in that park - renaming an arcade won't pass off as investment.

My views on this have changed somewhat since 2012! (When I last posted in this topic). 1. Nemesis - Brilliant coaster, very forceful and the surroundings compliment the ride experience. I find it very frustrating that they close off the back two rows when it rains (the best time to ride!) 2. The Swarm - I really like the ride, it has good pacing and seems to be picking up more force this season. Also, the theming is fantastic. However, I despise the backwards rows because they cause horrendous congestion with the queueline (main queue moves slower then it's all bunched up in the station), and also because they mean that I can't ride it in the back row properly. If they got rid of "Brave it Backwards" then I would prefer it to Nemesis. 3. Nemesis Inferno - I didn't used to rate this very highly but I'm sure it has picked up a serious amount of force over the last few years! 4. Oblivion - Really like the sensation of free-falling the drop has, but it's a shame that nothing else happens after it. 5. Air - Doesn't do much for me unless it's running particularly well, in which case I find it average at best. It just lacks any thrill, and it's supposed to be based around theming and landscaping but there isn't any! It does however have the flying element which is the only reason I rate it at all.

I meant the exterior queue, but yeah come to think of it the inside was working as well. I hadn't heard the outside audio work yet this season (or for the past two), but it was working on Sunday! The TV's were broken a lot at the start of the season but this seems to have been fixed.

I forgot to mention, Saw's queue ambience with all the audio bites was playing on Sunday! First time I've heard it in years!

Hmm... Or I could ride Nemesis/Oblivion for an hour! Tough choice... Seriously though thanks for letting me know!

Ewww... This and Angry Birds just seem to consist of garish paint jobs and plastic figures (or in this case, blobs)... I'll have a quick look at the area when I'm there next week, but I doubt I'll go in tbh!

Are you sure they aren't going to put vests on it? Looks hilarious like that tbh!

It doesn't like the cold (I am led to believe), so it probably works better in the heat. Are you sure it's not just poor dispatch times?

It was at the top of the ride for a while today, then saw them lowering it.

The hut (photo booth) was covered in scaffolding today, not sure what's wrong with it. (Ride was still open though).

Detonator is open today! The yellow sign they put up at the start of the season has been painted over in brown. Not sure what this means...

Looks very professional, and is unrecognisable considering how it looked before.

It is as they aren't going to get enough interest if they don't tell people anything.

Does anyone else think that the "major new investment" may not be happening? They said that there would be more information very soon at the end of April and we've heard nothing else since...?

I agree that it's in a dire state, hence why I said "under the right care."

It's only 12 years old, under the right care it still has years left in it!

Hope they are fast dodgems!

It's nice to see them trying though, as a lot of parks would have given up by now.
