I can't say I'm pleased about this, the Burger Kitchen eateries are rubbish in my opinion!
  4. It's a possibility, they already have a Mack coaster (Avalanche) so I wouldn't rule the option out.
  5. Let's hope so! I think it will be, they've got researchers travelling around the world trying out all sorts of rides at the moment, so I think they're going for something big. I quite like Infusion to be honest.

Unless they replace the tunnel of course!
  7. Nope, they had a big investment last year (£5.3 million on Wallace and Gromit), and have a thrill ride/coaster in the pipeline for next year.
  8. Height isn't everything, the shape of the track, wheel compounds of the trains etc make a lot of difference. Big One has a slow, medium and fast train so it can operate in windy conditions, and the medium train on a non windy day is the fastest it can reach (I believe that the fast train runs too fast on a day with no wind at all). The fact remains, that Air was not the first flying coaster. I'm not defending either claim, neither are acceptable but there's not much that can be done about it.
  9. False claims are something that I do not approve of, but to be honest it's no worse than Alton Towers claiming Air to be the world's first flying coaster (it's not) or Oblivion as the world's first vertical drop coaster (it doesn't go vertical). To be honest the claims on the Big One are debatable, on days with absolutely no wind it has been known to reach 85 mph.
  10. I see - fits in really well though haha! Mark9, if build correctly (with enough fire exits) it would be OK to let customers queue inside it.

Yeah, I think the angle of that photo makes it look different. With regard to the state of the track, I hope it get's a repaint. No one year old coaster should look like that already - it looks about 5 - 10 years old!

  14. An indoor queue section like that is what The Swarm needed!

Well, The Smiler's having some work done to it at least: http://www.towerstimes.co.uk/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/cbeebies-land-construction-25012014/12.jpg Is it just me or have they altered the second inverted drop? It doesn't look half as good as before, I'm sure it was twisty like the first one.

True, the best ones are ones with no limit to how fast you can spin them (the ones at Hayling being a prime example of this).

That would be a good option, but knowing Thorpe/Merlin any theming would be in a derelict looking state 3 years after putting it in...
  18. It it online anywhere?
  19. Coaster replied to Aarron P's topic in UK Attractions
Yeah it looks like it! Personally I was hoping for something for thrillseekers, but then they have said there is more than one new attraction.
  20. Agreed actually, they should have a voiceover of some sort.

Lots of other dark rides manage emergency lighting without having a green light to be honest, it could be done quite easily.

    Oh right haha!

I don't get it? The Fifth doctor had a stick of celery in his Jacket, Ninth Doctor had a leather jacket and Eleventh (and third) had a bow tie.

Agreed, I really hope they've finished the job properly because it was dire!

They are really pushing the boat out this year! Thumbs up from me Oakwood.
