  1. Raptor is a brilliant dark ride, Ultimate is also fantastic as long as you dont mind coasters that throw you around.
  2. Chessington outdoing Thorpe - poor show. 11am - 5pm would be a much more sensible time.
  3. Hopefully, Thorpe's eventbrite page still says 5pm so I assume that it's an error on Merlin's behalf.
  4. An update on this, tickets are now available to book: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/chessington-world-of-adventures-resort-passholders-members-preview-weekend-tickets-10734811109
  5. I hope that Thorpe's is until 5pm, I was thinking about going on Saturday afternoon but it's not worth bothering with if it shuts at 4.
  6. The point is it could be good. The ride experience was good when it first opened IMO, but since then the material on the slide that makes you spin isn't there/doesn't work, it leaks, squeaks and they never finished the job properly. Also the puddle of water in the rafts which could be easily prevented with an aqua vac (similar to the one used on Valhalla).
  7. No. (Sorry, couldn't resist!)
  8. Health and safety gone mad!
  9. I would even say that flying fish looks better at this point, (I know it's not finished).
  10. It hacks me off that the merlin owned parks which treat their customers like sh!te at times and fail to provide consistently good days out are dwarfing the parks which actually care about their customers and deserve to make a profit, but don't have a big company behind them.

That's great news, as it was running really badly last year.
  12. When Merlin are making this amount of money, the service you receive at some of their parks is unacceptable! http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/business/local-business/merlin-profits-are-a-boost-resort-1-6468545
  13. What's the fuss about? I've seen worse supports!
  14. Brean have now raised the price of a wristband to £22.50! Quite expensive I think, but at least the band now includes Speedwave and the Bumper Boats.
  15. I doubt that Merlin will ever install theming like that again, because anything that they've had like that (eg the Dragon Falls rocks) has had to be ripped down because they haven't maintained it!
  16. I never knew that it actually ran at Hayling iwth both sets of seating! I've ridden it plenty of times in it's current state.
  17. The Fright Nights preview day was reasonably busy, not as busy as a normal park day but all coasters were on one train if I remember rightly, causing slightly larger queues.
  18. The 2014 ERT lineup has been revealed as: - Nemesis - Oblivion - Runaway Mine Train - Duel - Blade - Marauders Mayhem - Heave Ho - Sharkbait Reef https://twitter.com/altontowers/status/438629520514379776/photo/1
  19. Ah yes I remember that now, please ignore my previous advice!
  20. It should be, I was in the same situation last year in October on the Fright Night preview and I took my old pass and showed both.
  21. Saturday, I might be going with family though.
  22. I've booked mine!
  23. An overhaul means replacing the theming, not ripping it out and replacing it with a tiny scorpion.
  24. That's good to hear, I was just going off what I saw a few weeks ago.
  25. It looks a bit too tired IMO, could do with a bit of a cleanup and of course there's that random pole that isn't connected to the ground...
