  1. That Blair Witch thing sounds fantastic! (Not that I'd do it though for that price, I would if it was affordable for me). Still, it's great to see Thorpe maximizing the event this year. Actually can't wait! I'm also very pleased to hear that the mazes will be open from 3pm - 10pm this year. That's longer than ever before!
  2. That's good. It's also good to see that they have updated their Facebook page with a Fright Nights look. I do think that Fright Nights should be more prominent on their main website though.
  3. X

Are any of the music tracks online anywhere yet?
  4. Some changes/progress I noticed today at the park: - Asylum has new wood on the exit door which I imagine will look like a cell when finished. - There was lots of wood outside Asylum, not sure what it's for though. - My Bloody Valentine now has speakers around the exterior of the maze (presumably for queueline audio/music). - Cabin in the Woods has had it's "hellgate" entrance painted orange (it was previously grey). - Lots of posters advertising the event around the park. It's going to be a good one! Not much to see with TBWP at the moment, although I'm still not sure where to look.
  5. It's probably worth mentioning that the Creating your own Nemesis books are available to buy at Thorpe Park at the moment, although they didn't have any price on them when I saw them today.

I am! Most importantly to get corrected
  7. I think that's what let E10 down last year - the groups were massive. I get what you are saying though
  8. Haven't done a TR for a while now. Went to Thorpe today, time in park 10am - 3pm. The park was fairly busy today for a weekend in September, however we still managed a fairly decent ridecount in the time we had on park. We also took some time to look at the construction of the Fright Nights horror mazes, although unfortunately I forgot my camera! RIDECOUNT: Stealth x2 Nemesis Inferno x1 Colossus x1 The Swarm x1 X x1 The Swarm x1 (Forwards) Logger's Leap x1 One niggle I had was that at about quarter to eleven Colossus had quite a long delay to put the second train on - do it at the start of the day! Very much looking forward to Fright Nights now.
  9. Really?
  10. It does look very well themed, so I hope that Thorpe's will be themed to that standard. The actors however could have been scarier (judging by the video, I'd have to go in it for myself to say for sure) which is where Thorpe could look on making it very scary. Don't forget that Thorpe's one is "interactive", and we still don't completely know what that means.
  11. I wonder how Thorpe's will be in comparison.

I love how Saw is valleyed in that video!

In my opinion the smaller model of the KMG Afterburner is much better. Whilst it has less seats, the quick start up time would probably improve throughput when compared to Vortex. It is also a much better ride, as the seats spin in such a way that you get all angles rather than just one once the ride is at full height. If Vortex gets replaced then they should look at getting one of the smaller models in.
  14. Just realized how many negative reviews there are of the place! http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g3491573-d285167-Reviews-or20-Alton_Towers-Farley_Staffordshire_England.html#REVIEWS

I've noticed that as well. I've never rated Vortex very highly (when compared with other rides of it's type), but it has been really poor recently.
  16. On another note, why has all the Fright Nights audio been taken off this website?
  17. Are there any new photo updates?

The cave would be much better if it worked, and if they had a door/flaps at both ends to keep it dark inside.
  19. How do we think Cabin In The Woods is going to work then? It's being described as "Letting you choose what happens next" etc... What do you think it will be like?
  20. I think (based on what I heard a while ago) that there is going to be a new map design which will be first launched with the Fright Nights map (similar to how Towers do it at Scarefest), so I think we will have to wait until we get that which will be on the day. Not sure though!
  21. There could be more than just them though. Let's hope so

I'll be there Fright Nights hype for the win.

They must want their rides to batter the riders then. I mean seriously, what idiot asked for shoulder bars?
  24. How far had construction progressed?
  25. Just had a thought - it would be great if the actors in Asylum wore the costumes that were used by the actors wandering around the park last year! They'd suit the theme of Asylum as well
