Fright Nights 2013
The occasional (and I mean very occasional) actor filling a spare seat on Saw would be fine (quite funny tbh!)
-
Nemesis Inferno
Why can't they run the rides at full throughput like that all day then? Because that's what they should be doing...

Summer Nights
The flies were horrible and the wait time was appalling I agree, but surely one bad event isn't enough to stop you renewing?

Fright Nights 2013
Just a quick question - did anyone go in The Freezer (before it became Asylum)? If so then what was it like?
-
Summer Nights
My visit to After Dark was brilliant - everything open until 10pm, not even having to leave the seats on Megafobia after 9pm. It was basically a free ERT.

Summer Nights
Are you serious? OBVIOUSLY I was agreeing that at some points the wait was just one train (which is good!) but at other times it was considerably longer. I didn't count the rides, but I think it was twice on some and once on the others. Oh yes and a few extra goes on NI at the very end, although even that stopped a few minutes early (by my watch anyway so don't jump down my throat if I was wrong!). To be honest it wasn't £5 that was the problem - it was the fact that as an annual passholder to pay for an event you expect something very good (as lots of smaller parks stay open until 10pm for no extra charge, with the same size queues as Summer Nights had (Oakwood is one of them)). And I'm not outraged. I never said I was outraged, I said disappointed which is a less sarcastic version of outraged.

Summer Nights
It's not "Queue Free" though is it? (Which was being advertised in the dome yesterday) I definitely queued longer than 10 minutes for some rides at the park.

Summer Nights
^ Did you go to the same event as me? It was not minimal queueing, some rides had one train's worth of waiting at some points (which was fine) whereas at others it was quite a while. It was the queue at the entrance that was worse though.

Park Music
^ I didn't understand why they were playing the screaming noises though!

What is a grey out like?

Summer Nights
Summer Nights was dissapointing yesterday in my opinion. To get into a (and I quote from the Dome) "QUEUE FREE" event, we had to wait 45 - 50 minutes with 4 out of 8 windows open (sometimes 3). After actually getting in the park (at about 8pm) we noticed that all the rides were running on one train operation! This was ridiculous for a "no queue" event. If the park had been quiet enough to run one train and still have no queues then we wouldn't have minded, but it wasn't. We didn't get on enough rides to justify the £5 event charge to be honest. I thought that Thorpe had turned a corner by offering events like this - but it seems that on Saturday it suffered the same problems as Fastrack (overselling tickets, and in this case running the park on bare minimum). A lot of other people in the park looked hacked off, and too right! On top of all this, Tidal Wave (part of the ride offering) was closed for the event and no other ride was opened to compensate for this. Actually, it was closed all day.

Runaway Train pre2013. Duel or Tomb Blaster?

Fright Nights 2013
It annoys me that they state "no entry will be permitted without a pre-booked ticket." It's false advertising as they do allow people in without pre-booking sometimes.

Chessington General Discussion
I can't understand why Chessington haven't upped their game. It's rammed, so how can they justify not running rides at full tilt? As for Vampire, that might as well be closed considering the service it's offering.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
I also find The Swarm a little too smooth, although it seems to be getting more forceful with age. Just wish it was longer - a fast helix at the end (instead of a slow, strange corner) would have made all the difference. I still rate it quite highly though.
-
Heide Park
I wish The Swarm could have been more adventurous like that... (Still a great ride though!)
-
Tomb Blaster
Oh right fair enough - wish Vampire still ran 3!
-
Six Flags Great America
To be fair Outlaw Run looks really fun (and not quite as ugly) but this and Iron Rattler look horrendous in my opinion.
-
Rameses Revenge
Pending the reliability of Rameses and (to some extent) Ripsaw it is unlikely that we will be seeing one at Thorpe.
-
Six Flags Great America
Watching the full POV shows that it doesn't actually look that great.
-
Six Flags Great Adventure
Interesting - putting a drop tower on the side of an icon ride is a bit weird in my opinion, but would be quite fun!
-
Six Flags Great America
It looks like it would be great fun to ride, but there is no denying it's ugliness.
-
Tomb Blaster
Seems strange to downgrade themselves though - why wouldn't they want people to know that Tomb Blaster has 5 trains? (Unless they make people think that 3 is a lot when really they could be running more?)
