  1. It's a real shame though because Zufari is new this year so you would think they would make an effort! With that being said, it wasn't the only broken effect I spotted today - Tomb Blaster's boulder was stuck at the bottom of the hill...
  2. How do you know this? Have Thorpe Park revealed this themselves?
  3. It depends what you want in a ride - some people just want to ride them without caring at all about the theming whereas other people (like me) like a little bit of background information displayed to add to the enjoyment of the ride/queuing experience. Personally I like these signs, they aren't doing any harm and those who want to read them can do so.
  4. They aren't irrelevant - they clearly explain (in a fun way) what the marmaliser is actually supposed to do, which could otherwise be lost on people. Also, you can't argue with a few interesting facts about the ride on display. They are proud of their new ride, and want to make it look better. No harm in that.
  5. Well that's a bit rubbish. The cave's finale is broken already - no water falls were working at all (including the one at the exit). Cost cutting or Merlin maintenance being pants?
  6. That's a nice touch A welcome addition to the ride.

    Th13teen

That's Th13teen closed for a few days then... EDIT: Actually, according to ridetimes it's open with a 25 minute queue. I hope those people who have been stuck up there for that long get a refund (or something), as that has wasted a lot of their ride time.
  8. I appreciate that it is annoying, but once there is the option all you have to do is confirm your attendance and then print off a ticket (if it's the same setup as last year) so it's not that complicated. For all we know they might not be making premium holders book it this year.
  9. Do we think that Asylum is returning as it is? Judging by that picture it doesn't seem to have changed at all, but it looks like work is going on in there (I.e. getting it ready for FN). PLEASE RETURN!!

Drenched by a mile. Speed or Saw?

    Inverts. Airtime or Hangtime?
  12. I hate people like that. How thick can someone be to climb onto the ride area when it's in operation?

    Legoland

Could be better, could be worse. It would be nice to see Chessington make an effort like this (or even Thorpe - although most of their rides are outdoors).
  14. To be fair that doesn't ruin the experience too much.
  15. I've just had a thought. Thorpe's official website hasn't even revealed the lineup for the event yet, so only facebook fans (and a few others who have heard) know the lineup. It's surprising that their main website hasn't given much in the way of information about the event yet - surely by now (with less than a month to go) the mazes should be on the website?
  16. Fair enough, Shockwave is one of the rides that I haven't been on but want to (you call it crap, but you call the Big One crap and it's my favourite coaster so I might enjoy it!)
  17. Given the ride operations that Chessington has had over this summer, I think this article is justified. Over £100 for a family to visit is ridiculous when they can't even be bothered to get their arses in gear and run the park properly! I don't understand why they haven't shown a picture of Chessington though...
  18. Shockwave at Drayton is a stand up coaster! I know it's not a B&M but it's still a stand-up.
  19. ^ Cabin in the woods! If there is a basement scene in the maze I can imagine it being very effective.
  20. I agree that Fury could do with a paint job, especially given the fact that it is a very visible ride from throughout the park. However, given the park's current state there are much higher priority things that need sorting first.
  21. One thing I would like to see at this year's Fright Nights is scarier looking actors. The roaming actors last year were very scary looking (in comparison to the ones in the mazes), but the actors in the mazes didn't really look very scary to be honest (mostly just white facepaint with blood on). A few of the actors wearing masks would make the mazes a lot scarier - I reckon this is likely to happen this year because the actors are going to be representing horror film characters.
  22. Rita for me. It's overhyped for what it is in my opinion, and it doesn't provide me with many thrills. I have been on worse rides (Pinfari's, Big Apples etc) but the thread wouldn't work if everyone just said that.
  23. The occasional (and I mean very occasional) actor filling a spare seat on Saw would be fine (quite funny tbh!)
