Oh, I'd forgotten about that. Because you could zoom and align your pic Sheikra is probably the best ORP I have (except X2 maybe, just because of the ridiculous things that beast does to your face!) I'm quite sure they'd sell more than 10x the amount at $3 - I think you'd get a huge uptake and therefore they'd make more money overall. For an emailed file I'd say about £2 was right, I really wouldn't be surprised if about 30% would take them up on it at that price, I don't know how many they currently get through but I never see the staff on Saw exactly rushed. The only problem I could see is it could damage their highly lucrative static picture trade.

I would like to see it done quite cheaply tbh. I am never going to pay around a tenner for a DVD that is a bit of a novelty that'll hardly ever get watched, would much rather they knocked out an emailed file of the footage for a couple of quid. Beyond the installation of the equipment there would be no real costs for the park (run it of customer operated terminals no need for staff or burning, cds, packaging etc) and at a low low price I think the uptake would be huge. They would make a lot more money over all doing that than having the relative few forking out an extortionate rate.

It's sad that accidents lead to loss of life in any circumstance, that has not been questioned.Understanding the mechanics of exactly what happened, the underlying causes, what should have happened, failures in process, changes that have been made since to ensure no recurrence and ultimately who or what is to blame are all to me inherently interesting things.I equally can not understand how anyone with any curiosity in life can fail to find these things interesting, but there you go.

This is the bit of ride accident stories I find interesting, shame we don't get to see the outcomes so often.http://media.cmgdigital.com/shared/news/documents/2011/10/31/NTSB_REPORT.pdfNaughty Disney.

Will the UK ever produce another world class coaster?
pluk replied to mccoaster's topic in General Discussion
I don't deny The Swarm looks mighty fine. But is it going to be significantly better than the other B+M wingriders going up now and in the very near future all over the world? I really am not so sure. Therefore not necessarily world class, who is going to want to travel half way around the world to ride something they have an equal or better version of nearer them?It could go the Nemesis way and turn out to be practically perfect in every way, especially if the theming is epic and well maintained, and gather enough of a reputation to be truly world class. I would love to be proven wrong, but I have very severe doubts about that. -
Will the UK ever produce another world class coaster?
pluk replied to mccoaster's topic in General Discussion
Surely the measure of being world class is that people from all around the world will travel to the place to ride it? When it opened the Big One was the tallest and fastest coaster in the world so naturally it's draw really was world wide. Unfortunately it isn't very good so it has lost that world wide appeal as its records have gone.Nemesis still attracts people from everywhere because of it's reputation as one of the best. I can't see the UK getting a truly world class attraction any time soon. We simply will not get the investment / planning for tallest or fastest and with Merlins dominance they might give us some good solid rides, but the very best of anything else in the world of their type? Nah. -
Oh Jesus Christ FENTON!!EDIT: Right, I give up. The embed media button is gone. What do I do? I know, I'm crap at this stuff. In fairness, this is all the computer power in my whole school when I was there, what chance would I have now?

Fairground attractions, channel 5.It is a bit channel 5, but it's actually quite interesting. One of the fairs they follow is http://www.carterssteamfair.co.uk/ , an absolutely beautiful vintage fair. Must track it down one day.

I like the look, clean and clear.Am I being dense, or has 'todays active content' button disappeared? I liked that button, the easiest way to keep up with, well, the active content of the day.

I know this is not going to actually help you, but PLEASE stop Mum driving an illegal vehicle. It is not cost effective, when she gets caught the fines and prohibition costs will cost a hell of a lot more than a couple of tyres. But mainly you can not put a price on safety, I'm sure you Mum could not live with herself if the worst happened and if that is not deterrent enough death by dangerous driving (which covers knowingly driving an unsafe vehicle) caries a 14 year sentence. I hope your situation improves, in the mean time stay safe.

That is unacceptable. Greedy b'stards, sure they'd make more by charging less and filling them up instead.

The link to plans gives me an error message, do they show down to the internal layout detail?Just wondering, considering their target market, who are Thorpe aiming this at? Most (all?) AT rooms are family size with an adult bed and two bunks. Are Thorpe going for more twin / double rooms which would better fit their target? This could hopefully mean they could fit in a greater number of smaller rooms which should be a lower price. I always feel at AT I'm paying for the extra beds I'm not using as I don't have kids.

How dare you!! The original few series were the best I grant you, and there were a couple of stinkers in the middle, but the recent ones have been right up there near the peak.I am quite surprised tbh, it has a hell of a loyal following. Not enough though, clearly.
