Oh god. This is awful. I haven’t got any funds right now but when I start up work again, remind me and I’ll send some dollar his way. @Roodie all the best mate. I know this must be a difficult time for you and your family.

Is it really a permanent attraction when it’s likely to be closed by next season, OR only open on selected dates throughout the year

I am confusion

Oh look! More actor based experiences!

It wouldn't surprise me if it was an RMC. First UK Inverting Wooden Roller Coaster. You know how they love a USP.

As if Chessie would even get close to something of that budget

Everyone loves a speed-run Steven.

I disagree and I don't feel like it's fair to compare to Stealth either, given they aren't even remotely similar in terms of ride types/experience. Stealth's USP is it's height and speed - much similar to Oblivion's USP is its drop alone. SAW's layout really isn't that good, especially compared to other Eurofighters. Was Mystery Mine one of the first to popularise the ride type? Because that is honestly miles better than SAW in terms of story-telling, theme and experience. Credit where credit is due, the blades at the bottom of the drop is pretty iconic but honestly, the ride is just meh.

Has the attraction improved since ROTD? What's the ridership like? Is it even popular? Haven't paid attention to the thing since I rode it during its opening year.

I think Josh is right about the prison concept. Throw in a few walkways to look like the upper levels of the prison, a couple of cages, some UV painted zombie faces and there's your dark ride. Regardless, this concept is naff and I would be intrigued to know how much some of these employees are making for coming up with drivel like this. It's actually laughable.

I personally love the trains.

It's not that the ride has aged poorly as such, it's just the ride was crap to begin with.

Had my first ride on Olympia on Sunday and it was actually amazing. It reminded me how much I love roller coasters to be honest. Also did the top scan that was there (not the one that flips) and jfc that thing was intense. My hate for WW dwindled a bit.

Can't do the date after all that, meaning it will have been over a year since I've been at a meet! Where has the time gone?! Guess I'll try again in 2018!

I haven't visited Thorpe this year but what baffles me is they should KNOW that all-year round mazes don't work - not the way Merlin pulls them off anyway. They've had SAW Alive, IAC, Sub-Terra maze add-on and that one in Heide Park(?) - as far as I'm aware, that hasn't been doing too hot either. I get that Walking Dead is a huge IP, way more popular and well-received than SAW, but I just can't see this working, regardless of how good Living Nightmare has been (has it? I genuinely don't know).

Why do I feel like it could be SWARM related?

...did I say any of those weren't genuine woodies? Did I say this is better than any operating woodie in the UK? First genuine wooden roller coaster in the UK after all these years. I meant in relation to all the hybrids popping up everywhere and last time I checked this thing was primarily made of wood? Regardless of what you think of this ride, it's definitely reassuring that there is still belief in these coaster types being a thing here, especially given how long it's been since one has been installed - as said by Benin, 21 years ago. Hopefully other parks will soon follow suit, but I guess that will depend on the reception of the ride when it opens.
-
It's so pretty! Don't care if it's short, I'm just super pleased that there's a real, genuine woodie in the UK after all this years.
-
The world's first SAW/horror themed flat-ride. It's sad, because it's actually plausible.
-
What's been wrong with inferno this year? Can someone enlighten me?
-
The areas being changed? wow, I'm so behind on news. Tiger Falls sounds terrible but I guess if the ride will get a new lease of life it's what it needs. I wonder if it'll be themed properly...

TPM Fright Nights Meet 2017 - Don't Dead Open Inside
alexander replied to Ryan's topic in TPM 2017 Meets
Need to sort out my entry but hopefully should be able to attend this one! -
Walking Dead? Wonder how much that must've set them back. Might have to try and attend fright nights this year then.

this is cute you guys, looks like you had a great time. Hope the queues weren't as horrendous as they usually are!
