  1. Can't wait to whore Colossus front row Thursday if it isn't rammed with people...
  2. I'm seriously buzzing, I'm going to Switzerland to stay with my Aunt for 2 weeks (which was decided yesterday) over Summer and she's already arranged for us to have 2 days at Europa
  3. You should, I'm trekking on my own and haven't met anyone from here as of yet! Obviously it's going to be nerve-wracking at first but I imagine that won't matter after about 2 minutes
  4. I'm going this Thursday and just want to get an idea of how busy the park will be

Which is why they will probably never remove them, obstacle after obstacle I think I'm going in May so I'll reserve my full judgement till then on the ride
  6. The thrill-o-matic looks, okay, the scenes are really well good like what's already been said, but I really don't feel it's particular innovative nor does it really go anywhere, it's just a tour of scenes, and 'Thrill-o-Matic' suggests otherwise. I was expecting something else like an extension on the story but I haven't ridden it so I haven't been able to take in the atmosphere of the ride itself.

I actually think the lights in the 'arena' bit look really, really good. It's a shame they kept the block brakes in as I still feel it kills the flow of the ride, but it's nice to see it's received some TLC, just would hope in the future the club music will play throughout the whole arena and not just in the queue line.

I saw a picture of the inside of one of the rooms and it actually looked rather than, aside from being cramped, so I take back what I said previously, they still don't look great from the outside but the idea of the garden must help. Does anyone have a picture? I guess we've got to remember if the hotels successful, they will build a permanent hotel. I just hope they don't change their minds and permanently keep the shipping containers to save £££
  9. They've removed the dragon as well? What the hell do they think they're playing at? I hope that they fully intend on replacing it. That Zufari advert is so misleading as well to the actual POV, I only saw the preview event video but guests are going to be left disappointed if they expect that when they go.
  10. It doesn't help with the target market they're aiming for, nor with the lack of care for already existing attractions. They've had some decent additions but fail to maintain a lot of the current rides. Barr Slammer and Samurai (arguably) which they've done a hell lot of work on.
  11. I hope Falls isn't going to stay that way

I find SAW rougher than Colossus. /notroll
  13. The font is actually the same for a start, plus it can't be just me seeing the resemblance between the Swarm trains and: (skip to 2.45)I think it's definitely plausiable Thorpe was inspired by it, especially considering the kryll travel in groups (a swarm). I shouldn't have used the term 'based', I just can't see personally how it can just be coincidental.
  14. If I wasn't doing Sweeney Todd I'd be there - next time!
  15. I will be off from uni at this point so I will do my very best to be there, will be good to finally lose my TPM meet virginity

I agree, it's just lazy to be frank. It's not a particularly good maze either, give me Asylum anyday
  17. Ugh Backwards fast track, seriously? EDIT: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151522451490867&set=a.377923300866.202576.27217550866&type=1&relevant_count=1&ref=nf Guess this must confirm (if it wasn't already obvious) that Swarm is based on Gears of War, a mutual agreement, Thorpe promo the game if they can use it a ride concept.

Whoa, more theming to fit in with TH13TEEN On a serious note, god it looks awful.
  19. Really wish I wasn't at uni so I could have gone, I will try a lot harder to be at the next meet
  20. Chessington has the best map design [3]

I love Rush, it's one of my all time favourite flats. But I admire Thorpe Park for the continuous work they've done on Slammer to keep it going.
  23. I actually find Depth Charge a lot of fun, but I guess if they're aiming to be the National's Thrill Capital, it doesn't fit in, at all. I'm kind of baffled (and I think they are too) about which direction they're going in. They target themselves at teenagers/young adults, but they added Storm Surge and have now lowered the height limit of X. Maybe it's because of all the teenage pregnancies about the park can appeal to their kids too
