  1. Lol! - well log flume - logs - made of wood - easy mistake to make?
  2. Insomnia is extremely frustrating - I've had it for a long time to the point where I can now only sleep when I take my night time meds (not sleeping tabs oddly enough) Lack of sleep isn't good (duh) and can often be a sign of depression, although there are many reason why people struggle with sleep and depression isn't always the reason - it could be that you find it hard to switch off etc. If you can, avoid caffeine during afternoon and evening times (if you even drink coffee) and try to get into some sort of routine where you go to bed at the same time each night If it gets really bad your GP may be able to prescribe a short dose of sleeping tablets which help however it's not a full time solution Hope it improves for you because I know first hand how frustrating it is when you can't sleep
  3. I got one of these in 2013 (if you mean the silver ones) - I'll have a rummage about for it but - I "think" they might still sell them - not 100% certain if I saw them this year or last though

    Zodiac

Totally agree although I do miss the original zodiac that actually had theming! Yup Towers definitely need more flatties - I miss Ripsaw and Submission
  5. So....crappy, sorry - Creepy Caves are no more
  6. I think I read that it's meant to be opening "late May" which....could be June Can you pop me down as a maybe for this meet cheers!
  7. The dirt probably IS the theming Still can't fathom the colour of those fences - just doesn't fit in the area at all
  8. Is this DBGT one new? Got it the other day but don't recall seeing them last year?
  9. Are the Nemesis Inferno pin badges new this season? I've never seen them before but admittedly I'm not the most observant of people . Also noticed that they have 2 different Colossus ones which is a bit odd
  10. Yup queue jumpers - especially the idiots that will climb over fences and no doubt if they fell and hurt themselves would probably try and get some form of compo out of the park I had another one pop into my head - people who damage theming in queue lines really grind my gears - ok so you might be a bit bored but that's no excuse to start defacing things - most recently I saw a girl with big long skanky nails peeling away at the poster things in DBGT queue - I was tempted to say something but those nails were a freaking weapon
  11. How long??!!!! Blimey - not good - hope the rest of your day goes better
  12. Oh I completely agree with you - it was fairly busy on Saturday and Stealth and DBGT were down for large portions of the day with relatively hefty queues on other rides (even Rumba was on a 35 min queue) and I felt frustrated - however I have a MAP so can visit again. Some people will have paid good money and travelled far to experience a shoddy line up yesterday (and today) and it isn't good enough - also the queues for guest services were massive which probably left people feeling more frustrated standing in the heat for god knows how long to try and speak to someone about it. While its good that they stopped selling fast tracks for the coasters and gave people free return tickets, it shouldn't have to get to that stage - one or two rides out of action you can forgive but when the majority of the rides are shut that's just nowhere near good enough
  13. Oh I totally get where you are coming from regarding people's responses to your hobby! I've had all sorts of responses but at the end of the day theme parks are something I enjoy - I just don't understand why people have to be so rude some times. As for smoking in queue lines - this is one that annoys me immensely (and I speak as a smoker) - if you can't hold off from having a ciggie while you're in a queue then simple solution is DONT join the sodding queue - firstly it's not permitted and secondly people don't want second hand smoke wafting in their faces. A couple of years ago I was walking through the queue line for Colossus and the queue was only just outside the station - but the 2 idiots in front of me decided it would be a perfect time to spark up - right next to a no smoking sign - and when a member of staff walked past and asked them to put their cigarette out they just carried on
  14. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that they stopped selling fast track for the coasters - has that even happened before?! I feel so sorry for the staff having to deal with complaints - yes the operations yesterday (and today?) no where near good enough but as said before this is down to management and not the ride attendants who will no doubt get the brunt of guests anger. On Saturday there was one guy sorting out the batching for DBGTROTD- because it had been shut for a few hours there was a backlog of fast track and RAP users - the poor bloke was getting abuse left right and centre - eventually another member of staff appeared to help him. Another time I witnessed a really rude woman (I use that term loosely) having a massive go at a ride attendant because Stealth was shut - like it was all her fault. I totally understand people complaining but to be verbally aggressive to ride hosts is harsh - but then they are the staff dealing with the public and I don't think they get paid enough to be spoken to like poop -
  15. When I read about the changes to the live action scene I was a tad disappointed as I love the crash effect (and watching people's reactions) so was a nice surprise to see it yesterday- and watch people jumping out of the way I also saw at least 3 people in tears yesterday after riding DBGTROTD - felt kind of bad for them but..... maybe I'm a wuss - I screamed and swore very loudly on the second VR section the first time I went on it yesterday- that last VR bit and the ending have made a massive difference from last years version - love it
  16. Only ever done IAC twice, back in 2015 and only because there was no wait but thought I'd try it again today - still pretty naff but I did enjoy it more today and like what they've done with it - but - I really can't see it lasting a great deal longer due to the amount of actors the attraction requires. Also when did they get rid of the photo bit with Forehead & Dec?
  17. So reliability is still an issue with ghost train but rode it twice today and wow SUCH an improvement on last year - I liked the original bar the second VR sequence but ROTD I think is fantastic
  18. Pretty much agree with all of the points you made. Just reminded me of another - people who swear blind that Nemesis Inferno is actually Nemesis from AT And I absolutely hate parents forcing their kids onto rides - once saw a fairly young boy crying his eyes out on Saw just before his train left the station - you could tell he was bricking it but the parents couldn't have given less of a damn if they tried
  19. Great pics - sounds like you had a brilliant time
  20. Myself and Roodie are a definite for meet and meal
  21. When people are adamant about something and you try to explain - if it's someone's opinion fair enough but when people come out with random "facts" that are completely made up it really creams my corn People filming themselves on rides - yes filming isn't allowed unless you have permission etc etc but I like looking a POVs - not some idiot screeching their way through a coaster - I wanna see the track layout not someone's face. VIP pass holders who proudly display the fact that they are VIP with their exclusive lanyard and have a smug aura about them. Yes you've paid a stupid amount of money for your pass but you are no better than anyone else. Just to add I'm sure not all VIPs are like this but some seem to think they are above everyone else
