  1. In order to try get more people excited, I thought I would create a trailer video for the meet. I'm hoping to make more of these teasers for the meets this year [at least for the big ones anyway]. Who can guess which film I'm trying to parody here
  2. I think it's safe to assume the following when Smiler reopens: 1/ breakdowns will take longer to resolve (30 minutes for small problems 1 hour for larger ones) 2/ if/when Smiler breaks down in it's early months of (re)operation ride staff will likely be very nervous 3/ the ride will never run 5 train again 4/ trains probably won't be dispatched until the one ahead has passed lift 1 (or 2 even) 5/ Smiler's popularity will be dipped. Whilst it will still get queues, it won't be as excessive as it used to be. I.E moderately busy days the ride will get a 45-60 minute queue and peak days the ride will get a 90-120 minute queue. 6/ if the ride still seems busy, it's probably because the throughput has been reduced. As a result it'll probably be achieving more like 800PPH from now on.
  3. Well I'm working then so I'm out then. May the fourth be with you!
  4. Unfortunately, the instant negative backlash was inevitable with todays media. To put a positive spin, at least it sounds like things are going better for Vicky now despite last June's tragic events.
  5. This is good news for the ride. Hopefully the ride will have a smooth 2016 and future [as it needs it]. In others news, despite losing 6 rides [4 SBNO], ticket prices have gone up again with adult tickets now costing £51.60 [a £1.20 rise]. However online/advance prices have been dropped slightly with tickets 2-4 days ahead 15% cheaper and 5 day plus tickets being 30% cheaper.
  6. My uni disso is due on the friday. Call me maybe.
  7. You'll be happy to know that as a result of DBGT not opening until May, I have no plans to reenact Thriller.
  8. It's opening Friday 6th May. The park will be running a replacement bus service from March until early May.

I misread that as Comet Gonna hopefully get some tunes here soon
  10. As part of one of the most hated traditions, WDW's ticket prices increased today. However they've now reverted to seasonal pricing. Value (off peak days) Magic kingdom $105.00 Other parks $97.00 Regular (regular season) Magic Kingdom $110.00 Other parks $102.00 Peak (peak days) Magic Kingdom $124 Other parks $114.00 Safe to say if you're going at busy times you're going to be paying a lot more.
  11. I'm absolutely loving the work they're doing round the park at the moment. Hopefully this will result in many areas looking the best they have ages. Then again, the areas should've never got to that state in the first place, but least they're sorting it. Typical that the Smiler is their newest large ride yet it will be in the worst state of the coasters (at least the big six anyway).
  12. Universal Orlando just sounds an amazing place to visit with the likes of Potter, The Mummy & Transformers. Really do want to visit here one day as the park just looks amazing.
  13. It's definitely a nominee, alongside That Kung Fu Panda name thing Garda are getting. That being said, quite of their ride's names aren't brilliant with the likes of Green Scream & Kiddi Costa existing.
  14. Interesting looking ride. Whilst it's good the park is gaining a second dark ride, I will miss the gold mine a lot though so this ride has a lot to make up for.
  15. Logger's is planned to be reopened in 2017 hopefully. Whether that will actually happen is not 100%.Only did Flumey once, and though it was nothing amazing, I recall memories of singing It's A Small World with the Tpmers I rode with. Hopefully Towers will get a new flume next year. One along the lines of Chiapas would be nice.
  16. The height of this coaster looks mightily impressive in the Salou surroundings. Especially with the loverly main park peaking out in the distance. Apart from that, can't say it's the most inspiring coaster out there. Sure it'll beat Baco though.
  17. It has now been confirmed that Flume has indeed retired after 35 years at the park. Sources Ride Rater & Towers Street. Whilst it was never an amazing flume, it's a shame the park have lost a notable family attraction especially since parks out there are still operating their flumes which are over 40 years.
  18. Great to see Galactica's opening earlier. At the end of the day it's Air mk2 so the ride system (bar the VR) will be exactly the same. I'm hoping the pushed date is as a result of being ahead of schedule rather a rushed theming job. Edit- actually I'm starting to reckon the reason they've pushed Galactica's opening forward may be due to the recent ongoing case with the Smiler which may as a result still be closed at the start of this season somewhat.
  19. Well, at least it's better than Zufari.
  20. Just don't do what I did on my first time,Drink, drink, drink, drink, drink, drink. Get wasted, just about walk out the club and pass out on the couch.
  21. I'm very excited for Star Wars land as it looks mightily impressive and looks to be the Disney equivalent of TWWOHP. Shame that the state parks are receiving cutbacks in places due to Shanghai [and to a lesser extent DLP] consuming resoucres for their projects and problems. Hopefully they will find a way to resume normal operations soon, especially with the major competition they're facing from the likes of Universal. Not to mention, visitor numbers at the parks [WDW especially] are continuing to pile up, where MK may well break 20M in gate figures now. In terms of when new attractions, the initial plans are: 2016 Frozen ride, Soarin 2.0, Rivers of Light & Kilmanjaro [as Adam mentioned earlier] Avatar Land 2017/2018 Toy Story Land 2018/2019 Star Wars Land 2019/2020 [I've heard DLR's is set for a 2019 opening and will be built before the WDW one]
  22. Went there many years ago with a few school clubs or something. Remember they had a snake heater Skelter like the one in Southend, a train and a carousel which played some upbeat music too. They had quite a big zoo too from what I remember.
  23. I'm not judging until it's finished. I'm glad they are theming it though. I'll have some ketchup and Mayonaise please.
  24. All the Creeky things seem to be disappearing at the moment.
