  2. Curtains down on the name, it’s not like they’ve tried to copy someone’s homework and not making it too obvious. This project is round the bend.
  3. Better sort another trip to Liseberg. What a beautiful looking coaster. Judging from the looks it should be ready for opening very soon now.
  4. Sounds like an average day from the looks. Building an upcharge Dungeons attraction is clearly going to help more than actually spending the money on maintenance and hardware then.
  5. Port Aventura is just one of those parks where getting express pass is essential to have the best time. I certainly don’t fancy waiting several hours only for Spanish guests to push past me every so often. Thorpe Park’s certainly have their pros and cons but generally aren’t as bad as P.A’s. £400 annual fastrack certainly sounds obscene at first glance, but there are clearly people willing to pay that price.
  6. This is a normal shutdown procedure, so nothing to worry about. A staff member will walk to the top of the lift to explain to guests what’s happened and to reassure them. They won’t evacuate the ride unless they absolutely have to. They have safety procedures in place to avoid injury. If the ride is back on 3 boats now, this is excellent news.
  7. In all fairness, not many attractions open beyond July/August time (unless there’s major setbacks). This however seems to be in that minority. I cannot remember the last time a major park to open an attraction in September or later. Legoland’s Rapids is the best example that comes to mind, but that was still late August 2007. At the end of the day I’m visiting Europa largely on the basis of it being an amazing resort and destination that puts care, effort and dedication into everything they do. Heck, they’ve even opened a new eatery mid season ontop of the ones relocated after the fire. Getting the CanCan coaster would have been nice but looks like it wasn’t meant to be, unless it soft opens (which is unlikely). I feel more sorry for Tomb who never did the original Eurosat.

    Scarefest

Quite a surprise announcement considering TOTT has been part of the lineup for a number of years now, however it was probably due to be replaced in the future. Honestly expected to see the maze revamped, but will be interesting to see what they do with it’s successor.
  9. After weeks/months of speculation, we finally have a provisional/approximate opening date for the Eurosat CanCan coaster and Madame Freudenreich Curiosities. Wednesday The 12th September. Source-Europastreet. Feels somewhat strange (if a little disappointing) for the resort to open their new attractions two thirds into the season. Apparently it’s been a long, major and difficult process, largely due to site access and removing/replacing ride track. As far as we know, the fire has not affected the schedule of this project. To think this will probably open the day after I finish my next trip is nothing short of a punch in the face!

    To summarise everything
  11. Looks great as a main entrance for the new area. There is no opening date yet.
  12. Well it certainly looks like they have strict gold with this one. I really like the pacing of the layout too.
  13. At least an Emoji is better than nothing though
  14. I’ve certaibly heard much worse horror stories with fastrack allocation, where a whole train had been allocated just to fastrack. 7 minutes dispatches aren’t great though, even with the poorly planned stacking layout and terrible trains. The sooner this ride gets Taron style trains the better.
  15. Well, that’s Summer ruined and a potentially disappointing park event then. ’goes to Love Island lates instead’ ’
  16. Ultimate may have it’s ups and downs, but without it, Lightwater would not be the park it is and would probably go bankrupt in a couple of years without a major investment or owners with noticeable financial stability. Shame the park has seen little in terms of recent investment, but who knows what the new owners can bring.
  17. There are a number of things Towers could really do with getting. A Dungeon type attraction is not necessarily one of them. The Park desperately needs more in the form of supporting attractions, whether that be water rides, family attractions, flat rides or even a couple of shows. There isn’t much to do if Thirteen and/Rita go down for lengthy periods of time except walk around the gardens, to the nearest ride or wait until it reopens. Getting a Dungeons type attraction is not a terrible thing, but not a brilliant one either. If they can make this work successfully hats off to the park.
  18. This reading is probably one of the scariest theme park related things I have read for some time. I cannot believe just how much negligence was put into the care and upkeep of this attraction. From cutting corners with maintenance, safety and the lack of training and staff numbers. It is absolutely appalling and something you wouldn’t expect so much in the first world. The apparent lack of CCTV, first aid training and working E-stops as both horrifying and appalling. Having once worked on a similar attraction, I can 100% say Dream World’s response to this has been appalling. If Rumba or Congo experienced pump or CCTV failure, they would be closed down for the rest of the day (or longer) immediately.
  19. Ridiculous article, Tidal Wave’s stoppage at the top of the lift is just a usual breakdown occurrence which has happened before and will happen agsin. Nothing to to worry about, the ride team have a full plan in place, whether the ride can be restarted or needs to be evacuated.
  20. Judging from the reports, yesterday’s late was a success (though I expect the weather contributed there somehow). I seem to be in the minority that despises Love Island, but if it brings in the guests to the park then good for them. The park usually has good vibes on late openings. As for operations, difficult to tell why they’ve dropped, however it probably hasn’t helped that many previous staff have left and there have likely been cuts in budget and management too. Therefore there are unfortunately less resources available. Operations have ben a mixed bag this year. Stealth and Saw’s have been pretty good whereas Colossus and Inferno’s not so much. These are probably not helped by the awkward trains on Colossus and the ‘operator safety announcement’ on Inferno. Swarm has been hit and miss.
  21. In some cases it’s actually longer than a whole day. Still evidence that Hollywood Studios needs more attractions, but that will be resolved once Star Wars Land opens alongside the Runaway Railway and the hype eventually dies down. Here’s a POV I found (spoiler alert). Looks better than expected, especially like the look of the second launch and Wheezy animatronic at the end.
  22. It’s certainly great to have Bucaneer back at the park (especially given it’s lengthy downtime at the start of the year). The cycle was definitely noticeably longer and the ship may have even swung a little higher too.
  23. Phantasialand are certainly amazingly efficient and creative when it comes to using space. This certainly will be a crazy massive project for the park and a similar scale to Klugheim (if not bigger). I wonder what what the purpose of those gaps in the concrete structures are? Intruiging.

    Legoland

Yep, this is Ally Law, the same sad person who has climbed Stealth and invaded Peppa Pig Land. Dont follow the things he’s does because he is a terrible influence. Just buy your tickets or passand enjoy the attractions properly like they are supposed to be. It’s people like this why we have such silly and exaggerated regulations in place (especially in the U.K.) that effects the remaining majority who abide by the rules. Don’t feed the trolls.
  25. Thanks for reading , glad you enjoyed.
