Forget about Klugheim and The Ghost Train, this is what 2016's all about. So glad Oakwood went for something worthwhile. The colour scheme looks ok I suppose.

If anything happens to Hex I'll drink absinthe Location wise, I'd say the following may be on the radar: The area around Adventure Land charlie and the card board factory That corner where wobble world and driving school are Ripsaw or Sub Terra sites (unlikely) Cant think of anymore.

Alton Towers have submitted a planning application which mentions demolition of existing structures amongst a new ride. Full applaning application can be seen here. This is a separate application from SW8 so it's possible this will be for a 2017 ride. (Hopefully not CBeebies)

Taron sounds an amazing ride. Out of interest how does it compare to Blue Fire and Wodan? How was Phantasialand as a whole and how does it rate against Europa? I look forward to visiting in just over 2 months.

Derren Brown's Ministry of Sound Meet 23rd July 2016
Matt 236 replied to AJ 's topic in TPM 2016 Meets
Tickets are back online now. There was a glitch apparently. Although they hey are now £20 (not £15) I would recommend buying one NOW if you haven't bought one yet. -
They get my approval. Looks like we have our 2016 cutest couple winners right here people!
-
As if Legoand would really get a B&M. Thr locals would be well chuffed hearing it roar on the hillside let alone all the scared to ride families.
-
You get a B plus crrative avatar if a little monotone but it looks like a woodie so I mark it up.
-
Only in my dreams. If I went there now I would Arrow Dynamics myself. It's the American Dream.
-
Or when they said the Flume was going to reopen then shut it, or when Saw Alive became part time then just seasonal. I'll get my hopes up when I see an official announcement as for all we know, they could be ripping it out for TC19/20.
-
So many people going to Florida right now, maybe I should make another random video. Oh well, can't complain too much as I've got Phantasialand booked for September.
-
Anything could happen on Thorpe's third least predictable ride. This isn't DBGT. I'm sure it isn't Ripsaw just yet.
-
Judging some people here have/will have been on Taron, how does it compare to the likes of Helix and Blue Fire? I'm getting the impression this is also yet another Intamin throughput monster with something around 1400 PPH perhaps.
-
Oh My God, it's finally open! It only took over 2 months to perfect this. They have now succeeded in the railway theme, with massive crowds rushing around boarding the delayed trains. Well done Thorpe. Lets hope this doesn't happen with SW8 as they know Blackpool will win!

Short but sweet I like it. Reminds me just how amazing the trip to the park was last month. One day I vow to return.
-
Because they are not Phantasialand unfortunately. What an amazing looking beast though. Theming, soundtrack, landscaping, immersion and that's before I talk about the impressive layout of this ride despite no inversions. This ride could well knock Helix from my number.1 in September.

Derren Brown will be the ultimate test to see if this really is a turning point for our main parks or whether it'll become a 'this will do' neglected attraction in2/3 years time. Our parks have the potential to become some of the best in Europe if operated correctly. However seeing things like Zufari, IAC, Smiler's execution etc. verses the likes of Helix, Klugheim, Baron 1898 etc. then there is no real comparison. That's before we even mention the general situation of upkeep, fastracks, atmosphere and cohesion. The TLC scheme at Towers is a start, but I feel we may be back to decline in appearance past 2018 where as quick as 2-3 years after the scheme finished, the park will begin looking run down once again. Obviously I do care about our parks, because I clearly want them to become run down, fall apart and shut down due to extreme neglect.
-
Never been in afraid, but day and a half at the park sounds a good plan. Verona airport may be the nearest to the park and I think it's either a train ride, taxi or drive from there (Rome2rio may be worth looking at). Not too sure on the local area however I know Lane Garda isn't far away which a significant landmark I believe. Let me know how it goes, I'm considering visiting here in the future.
-
The only thing perfected here is how badly scheduled this has been done here. Taron was never given an open date until it was almost complete and with Baron it was the same. If they had never given an opening date until it was almost ready the delays would be a lot more forgivable.

Plan to do all these meets. Sounds like a great meet selection to me. Port Aventura sounds just as exciting too and can't wait to do that. Its going to be a strange and sad day when Peaj stands down from meet organiser but I'm sure his successors will do well. Will need a dramatic ending vlog when that day comes though.

Good to see 2016 once proving how efficient our theme parks are run nowadays. Tombs falling apart doesn't surprise me at all considering how short sighted this refurbishment was in the first place and proves again Merlin only do it for money. They may as well just rebuild the whole ride now while they are at it.

Oakwood sounds like they're in a terrible state right now. Why is it so many UK parks seem incapable of operating well these days, we never had this 10-15 years ago.

TPM Happy 10th Anniversary Stealth Meet 25th September 2016!
Matt 236 replied to Celia Mae's topic in TPM 2016 Meets
If it's September, there's a very low chance of me making this due to Blavkpool meet on the first weekend, Phantasia on the third weekend and possibly Dreamland at another time. But will see.- 114 replies

I think there's obviously something pretty major up here. Seeing as it's not ready, there must be a part or component that's broken. And because it's broken means it cannot work. And because it cannot work, it cannot be used. Somethings are too complicated these days.
