I'm glad I was inspiration for the name of one of the park's newest areas. Paultons looks ok a a loverly park and I can't wait to hopefully see it in the flesh in the near future. that expansion sounds interesting. I'm assuming it will be something new for Pepper Pig land assuming from the sound of the location. 2017 definitely sounds like a kids land expansion year.

If they're trying to achieve the same success of the confused Zufari or the bland metal immersive was of Tomb Blaster, I think they're on to a winner! I don't know what is sadder, the sorry state the ride has now become or what is expected to replace it.

Colossos unfortunately appears to be closed until further notice due to emergency repairs apparently. source Loopings Lets hope they get this fixed and soon. Until then, Colossos is only a stand out attraction as in standing out of the lineup.

Sadly once again Merlin have cocked up and know nothing on hitting gold. thats where parks like Efteling and Europa Park get it right. I'd be astounded if this beats Wodan.

Yes, I think a Saw retheme for Bubbleworks could work quite well. Paint the water blood, add some screaming sound effects throughout the ride and add lots of traps. You could have the drop lead into a chainsaw and replace the fountain finale with a blood bath

Yay for another new fresh woodie in the world (even if it's at a park I can't see myself visiting currently). Does look a ok a great decent coaster actually and lots of fun too. Let's hope it doesn't end up how Son Of Beast did. This is how you do a woodie towers!

Interesting review there Liam. I found the pre-show and middle section between the trains to be the strongest sections of the ride. Like you say, I definitely found the 1st section of the VR much better than the second as it felt too outstretched. They have time to improve it but it's the weakest part of the ride for me so far. Still miles better than Galactica though.

I'm absolutely dreading Condor next year if I go to Walibi (as part of a bigger project), but a creds a cred. infusion is the only SLac I've done so far. I didn't find it awful but I didn't find it great either. First half is not too bad but second half does gets fairly rough. Dont think I've done many awful coasters lately, except this one really. So boring, so dull, yet uncomftable and painful at the same time. Big One has got to be a dishonourable mention, apart from its height and the drop the ride is completely force less and forgettable. Drayton's coasters (mostly the G Force and Shockwave) were also completely forgettable and left no impression on me either. They need some Mack!

Opinions are opinions and it's amazing how different and divided they can be at times. Take Saw for example, which has to be one of the biggest dividers. Some people love it's scary horror theme and find it thrilling and well themed. Then there's others who find it rough, unconcealed and the theming unimaginative. Everyone has has different opinions here and that's all there is really. Even Storm Surge has its fans (not me).

Oh yes, that ride would fit the park perfectly. Give it it a theme of Take Me Out or Big Brother and place it on the lake where loggers is. Old Town's retheme to Love Island will go ahead then.

Oh it's too dangerous, let's put restraints, 6ft fences and polythene everywhere to make it safe as we can't have this! Seriously let's not give them ideas as that's least we need right now.

The second one Geisterschloss or Pirates In Batavia?

I don't when I'm going. But when I go, I want to experience Heidi. Lets hope they get back on their feet

Spotify Alvey's Screaming or Sanbrooke's singing?

Well this will be a great to go for a peaceful night after visiting the park. Still I'm sure young families will love it and will be a success for the park.
-
Certainly a concerning one. It's a miracle the guy didn't fall to his death (and kill others). Hopefully the park will get over this as this sounds a very serious and worrying incident.

Had a good read on that earlier, I think it reflects the situation perfectly, especially given how DCA was only fixed from the shambles it used to be. The Guardian's tower (though good it may be) is tearing a massive hole in that repair overhaul. If only I had been to Disneyland California in April for real. I still need to visit there though.

There is however a massive difference between the future additions of Avatar Land and Guardians Tower (as mentioned). Avatar Land will be a massive new land built on an area home to mostly forgettable second rate attractions. Whilst a mix bag to most, the park will be gaining a highly new immersive area with much needed dark rides and top theming whilst mostly staying cohesive to the park's setting. Guardians Tower however will be replacing a popular, highly regarded and staple park attraction in a quick last minute project. Whilst the attraction may still be very good, it's going to be practically impossible for this overlay to succeed on what is a clone of one of the best dark rides in the world.

Wow what a week! First Bubbleworks announced as closing and now the California Tower ride. I fear for every good dark ride right now. This is has got to be the worst decision by Disney since the closure of Journey Of Imagination and WDW's Toad ride.

At 30 years it's certainly quite an old coaster now and a shame the ride appears to be for the chopping block. Then again maybe it just needs tonnes of maintenance or structural work, but it does seem very sudden. Glad I went on it when I did. The ride's layout was is identical to Treetops at Oakwood, bar the lack of trees and that it does 2 laps.
-
There goes another slap on the back of childhood. I know the original technically died in 2005, but I still had a soft spot for the attraction. I don't know whether this move will be put the old ride out of its misery or be an insult to the original. But I have strong faith whatever replaces it won't be that good, because let's face it. Everything needs to be IP's to be successful these days otherwise it'll fail.

Though hopefully this will be sorted. I do wonder whether Heidi will initially now be opening in 2017 instead as by the time the permit situation is sorted the high summer season will be over. safe to say I can see future developments such as the hotel pushed back a year or so, if they can even still happen.

I never doubted for a moment that forced closure of a theme park would actually be happening. However in a world post Blackfish and things, any thing could happen. Hopeful chances are this park will be able renew its environmental licence in due time. If the situation relates to the park getting a fine from the authority, the park could surely claim legal action against those who were supposed to validate the licence (as Baron said). This then just leaves the problem with the woodie. Depending how well the outcome is, how will they reduce noise levels considering original testing was too loud? High fences, sound tunnels, specific materials to quieten the roar, preventing guests from screaming? Surely not. Safe to say this is sort of a Plopsa style situation to what happened at Paultons 6/7 years ago. Hopefully they've got this.
