  1. I still remember when Thorpe's were called Fright 'Nites'
  2. You mean 'Scarefest'? :/
  3. I can still remember Miss Hippo's Fungle Safari being my favourite ride when I was 5 years old, before I had my first fly on the Fish later that year!
  4. I guess the hype for The Smiler is reaching the 'overload' point at this rate. Still waiting to get corrected...I wonder why...
  5. The backward seats look a bit eyesore as well. I mean, you see a fine set of horizontal lines going up the lift hill, when all of a sudden, they change to two ARCHES with LEGS! If you want a coaster to go backwards, the ride itself has to be designed in some way for it to go backwards! Take X, when it was X:/No Way Out for example. They are just plain sit-down cars, so they WON'T look eyesore when going backwards whatsoever
  6. Notice the connection between heavy metal and an iron maiden on the ride?
  7. Wait...Flying backwards? Never seen anything fly backwards horizontally!
  8. Wow. That's the first thing B&M have EVER done badly!
  9. I just hope Thorpe are receiving a lot of bad feedback for the swarm backwards. I also hope that B&M are happy to send in the trains the way they were before, because seriously, most of you may agree, but if I see the swarm back to normal next year...THAT WOULD BE FRICKEN AWESOME!
  10. SAW might be getting rethemed soon anyway, so why fuss over a small number of effects? Yes, they add to the ride experience perfectly, but still...
  11. The Vogons and the Gorg pretty much look the same: A group of filthy alien creatures, looking as if they've just been fished out of a swamp! (That IS the origin of the Gorgs, but I'm also talking about the Vogons, taking that as a matter of fact!) Zappomatic is basically a Chessington version of either Marvin the Paranoid Android or Zaphod!
  12. I've read 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' and 'The Restaurant at The End of The Universe', and looking at the POV, it's so easy to agree that the 5th Dimension WAS indeed created by Douglas Adams himself! I mean, you get some quotes on the ride that remind you of THHGTTG, such as Zappomatic saying "Would you believe it? There's a Gorg in here! Horrible creatures, Gorgs! HORRIBLE!" Also, the Gorg reminds me A LOT of the Vogons from THHGTTG. I actually would've praised the ride a lot if the ride had ended like the film: Marvin the Paranoid Android defeats the Vogons by zapping them with his ray gun. What happens next should've been the Gorg when he was defeated: The Vogons collapse to the ground moaning, "Ohhhhhh, I am depressed!" Love the music as well! But it's a bit happy and jumpy for a ride based around a repair android in a battle with a robot-eating Gorg! Well, there IS a bit of adventure feel in that track!:
  13. Isn't Duel 10 years old this year? (Obviously not the ride itself, but you know what I mean)
  14. I absolutely love Expedition Everest, even though I've only been on it twice. When I went on it, in the last face to face encounter with the Yeti, you can see it in full detail, whereas nowadays, the room is now lit with flashing strobelights, so you can barely see the Yeti at all!
  15. Well, by the looks of things, if all the cars are being mounted now, it obviously means the lift hill's been sorted out and the Ultimate Correctional Device is about to be tested once more!
  16. I just wanna know who did these puns for the Bubbleworks. I mean, who could go wrong with "Hic-Cups" and "Recycled Empties"? (Professor Burp riding on a motorbike in the Bottling Dept.)
  17. by plot I meant storyline (notice how I have no pic right now? Bloody TPM maintinance)
  18. Doesnt the plot of Bubbleworks remind you of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in some way?
  19. I'd actually love to see an interactive shooter, but themed around THE SWARM, so your basically fighting back!
  20. There is no 'washing machine' element unfortunately. The disorientator is basically the heartline roll and the secret element of The Smiler is the fact it has 14 inversions :/
  21. Are those guys blind or something? THAT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE A FLIPPIN GLASS ROOF!
  22. They say SAW - The Ride was designed by Candy Holland. Was it the actual ride experience she did, as John Wardley did the ride layout?
  23. Personally, the only things I like about Furius Baco are the theming, the music and the launch. The layout is just pants, as nearly 45% of the ride is taken up by one GIGANTIC turn! However, the theming is excellent (despite the storyline being a bit confusing) and the theme tune...I would queue for Baco for TWO HOURS to get a few earfulls of this PHENOMENAL piece of music! (the proof is in the link below) Furius Baco is one of my favourite rides, but it IS an Intamin coaster, so of course it's gonna be a bit rough! Anyway, heres the link!: (I bet you guys have always wondered HOW THE HELL they did the preshow!)

Christ dude! Forget THE SWARM. That was one near miss you won't forget for a long time!
  25. This was posted a while ago, but yes it is
