  1. Agreed. My only guess is that it's based on heatwaves rising from the ground and therefore deforming the look of the image? This IS Spain we're talking about.
  2. Kerfuffle

Only just come across this. Has a nice rhythm and tune to it...and as the name suggests, very little use of the guitar.
  3. I'll most likely be at the Monkey Puzzle afterwards as a bonus.
  4. Yeah something like that, only more like a top secret laboratory sort of theme for the station/indoor queue perhaps. The latest experiment, a monstrous form of the Thorpe Shark, has escaped and is hungry...
  5. Nah, I can see some sort of story put into it. Seeing the Thorpe Sharks are formed from old ride signage and scrap metal, that could suggest a genetically created shark for a theme?
  6. I think I'll be working weekdays around then, so put me as a maybe! Also depends on jetlag from Florida. And I'll definitely see into MoS/Shark hotel!!
  7. I can imagine a dive machine with a very similar ride experience to Krake but with sharks involved...
  8. That first guitar section...
  9. Hopefully there'll be different track types by different manufacturers on coasters like in RCT3. Crossing fingers for image and sound importers too. EDIT: Just referred back to the model of the B&M Hyper posted earlier. Guess I've partly answered my question.
  10. Nope. He mentions how he was walking past Varney's office when he suddenly dragged him inside! The name Nemesis was spat out at around 3am in that same room.
  11. After seeing that video, I can safely say this game looks beautiful in every way!
  12. I would assume so, but then again, think about how hard it is to come up with a name that fits the attraction and its theme. It literally took John Wardley and Nick Varney nearly a whole night (and a whole bottle of Southern Comfort) to come up with the name Nemesis.
  13. First of all, those names were all by Tussauds (Stealth most likely being the last investment they'd make). Secondly, while I will agree that Merlin have given us attraction names that are mostly nothing spectacular, all that matters is that they are part of the SELLING POINT of the experience. The name literally acts as one of the factors that draws guests to the attraction while giving them an idea of what it's about. For example: The Swarm: A hoard of winged alien creatures. What else do you expect? The Smiler: A machine designed to marmalise the minds and bodies of the riders...making them smile. Simple as that. TH13TEEN: 13 being an unlucky number for some, suiting the theme well. This was undoubtedly Merlin's most creative name in my opinion.
  14. I meant as if in the whole apocalyptic theme
  15. It also fits in with THE SWARM nicely at least, having the odd virus theme...
  16. From Chessington's Facebook page. Looks like Buddha's received a repaint!
  17. Whilst I completely agree, from what I can gather, Terror Tomb was revamped not only due to the park's change in marketing, but also because of falling popularity...and then the lasers and targets were added and I'm pretty sure it's mostly the interactivity that brings people back to it. But saying that, the GP really need to understand what this type of dark ride in particular was designed for. The Fifth Dimension's problem for instance was that the staff were treating it like a ride rather than a show, like it was supposed to be. And nowadays, Tomb Blaster is far from something you'd call a show.
  18. The front of the train did remind me of a dragon horn. And then you have some rockwork that looks like a dragon head? Could be a nod to the potential theme maybe?
