  1. This is the first time I've ever seen them this year? Are you sure they aren't new effects, or they genuinely have been broken for agess.....

Slammer has never *Touch wood* been stuck upside down before, so I wouldn't be too scared about that. When Slammer is actually in operation, I've never seen the ride break down nor do I think it happens very often.

Wow! Not only was it reaching more than the normal height, but it was lasting for a long time, giving loads of max height swings, which is great to see! It's a shame that Vortex doesn't manage to pull this off all the time, because it''s a great ride when it runs like this but is a disappointing and a waste of time when it's running bad. I can't remember the last time I've had a good ride on Vortex like this, must of been 2012. I hope that Vortex carries on running as well as it was in this video and that I'll get a chance to ride it like this, but knowing how appaling it was running last year, I can't imagine it lasting very long ;( Then how come the cycle sometimes lasts different lengths? Or is it just dependent on the height of the swings?
  4. I would love to see it, but I very doubt merlin will invest in a woodie, as discussed before.
  5. you beat my 39 on annual pass day!
  6. Oh fair enough. It said 'On the day' so I assumed about 5 or so people would of been able to do the lift hill on the day.
  7. That's awesome thank you! How many people got to go up one of the lift hills and which lift hill was it?

If it's shining directly at the riders I'm pretty sure the lazers could damage peoples eyes. I think it works well at the bottom, especially when it makes the square tunnel effect!
  9. Right next to the crocodiles, maybe they weren't on when you went.

I'm glad to hear this since it was running awfully on AP day. Looking forward to seeing the video uploaded

Thorpe thought it would be open for opening day, and it has been testing well quite recently so I don't think it will be long until it opens now. It's not sad, when it opens I'm going to be straight down there as well
  12. Seriously? It's the first time I ever noticed it as well, and yes I did notice the waterfalls. Nice to see they fixed it.

I've been on Speed wave at Hastings quite a few times as it is only 20mins on the train to get to from mine. It's a great ride and as you can see, the cycle is a lot longer. Shame to see it go In replacement for it is currently, or was 007 which is also a really good ride. Link (As I don't know how to embed the video) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghRI_Qq8C_E
  14. I like the idea of it, screaming to launch or launch faster or whatever, but they've made it bad!

Yeah I love it, It makes it a lot more fun in my opinion. The old one is just slow, and boring.
  16. Yeah I noticed that haha... Looks like they have took a trip to Thorpe park's facebook page
  17. They replied to someones comment saying...

I don't know how long it's been like this, or if it was just a one off but the theme on the annual pass day (Sunday) was there old fright nights music for rocky, not there actual theme. I prefer this one anyway and think this is the right one to be played all year round, it just makes the ride more fun than it is. Whenever I've been at the park when it is heavy raining they stop operating Stealth till the weather get's better so I'm surprised they still operated this during hail stones!

Friend has told me Vortex has been down all day, hopefully they are going to fix the problems in which the way Vortex has been running.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing that they sell them for this cheap. But Thorpe Park encourage people to buy tickets online, 2 days in advance for cheaper tickets so they know how many people are going to the park. But if everyone is buying annual passes, they won't know the numbers before the day?
  24. I can imagine it being very busy today because of teachers strike and that, and bad operations wouldn't help! What happened today?

Good that's great to hear! New manual lower system? Is this something incase people need to be evaced from it?
