  1. I loved Thunderlooper; I heard also that it's existence was only agreed as being temporary.
  2. ThemeParkCrafter For me, SWARM inside on rows four or five; Nemesis Inferno any seat row five..........just my opinion.
  3. It can only get better then.
  4. As Ian said, SWARM is great for a smooth introduction to inversions.
  5. Well you're not the first, and certainly won't be the last. We are all different and I know of three people who actually belong to Coaster clubs, but who never go on coasters. Did you enjoy your day? I suspect that's a "yes",
  6. I would say there is no positive G on Vortex, maybe.5, it's a large swing, and you can experience a float off the top of swing. Nemesis Inferno follows a track and due to the ride flowing around the outside of loops and rolls, one can be subjected to up to 4.5 g, really good fun.
  7. One is a coaster, one is not. The pendulum effect of Nemesis Inferno changes the G experience. Vortex, is an interesting ride and can provide plenty of airtime.
  8. Wow, you startled me, I thought you meant Stealth is running, then I re-read your post.
  9. Doh, sorry. Interestingly, you can adjust your position and get different G effects on some rides. Confident with the safety of the restraint, I prefer them loose. Don't you get ringing in the ears? I'll make a suggestion as to what that might be..........
  10. G-Force is a very different type of ride, most people find the upward climb very uncomfortable, no similarity at TP, unless the vertical on Saw compares for you. We are all very different, in our physique, and attitude to the rides, so I always suggest for a nice, smooth introduction to inversions, go on SWARM. Do not miss out on Flying Fish, it's good. Nemesis Inferno is very good as with the pendulum action, you feel the ride differently. Take your ear-rings out for Colossus. Enjoy your time there.
  11. Yup, differing experiences, and differing types of ride. Thank goodness for gravity.
  12. Okay, good luck, here are the conditions...... Let us know how you get on, and if you have some success then I'll go over daily.
  13. I doubt it, otherwise everybody would tap them for something and they always float the disclaimer about rides possibly being out of action, logical.
  14. I wouldn't expect anything as all parks, understandably, have the standard warning that "some rides may not be operational" - alas, I cannot get to the sunken garden because they have now fenced the area off.
  15. I've already signed up for therapy.
  16. I certainly felt the heat today going through after the blast, it was hot.
  17. I suspect not - went to TP today and the rumours/comments range from four days, to "back next season". Cable will probably be replaced but Intamin are having to make a new catch car, a one off, this is supposedly being done at the moment.
  18. Only really worrying if one breathes through your ears, or someone wants to lick your ears after?
  19. But don't you get a feeling of power when you stand up again, only to adjust your clothing - "oh, waiting for me? sorry!"
  20. Interesting, the statue of Sherlock is less than a hundred metres away, and the Sherlock Holmes museum is only 500 metres. Elementary really.
  21. We are all different, physically and mentally, though enthusiasts, who are the minority, generally have the most opinions, regardless of the subject we enthuse over. The majority of the attending people are experiencing these rides/events for the first time, and for most will thoroughly enjoy their experience. I am sure it will last as people still queue for the items we don't individually like.
  22. Lots of opinion on here as to why it's out of action, so shall we place bets? probably not, but don't be surprised if it's not the cable. I'll be glad when it's back, it's not a good time for this major item to be out of use.
  23. Experienced this today - one should be in the right mood before sampling. It is good enough to keep people out of other queues, which is handy.
  24. planenut replied to Adam J's topic in General Discussion
Rode it today and it was super smooth, maybe I can take up wearing earings..........no.
  25. Indeed, the catch car has been separated from the cable, that in itself is several tons in weight. engineers from Switzerland are involved, I.e. Intamin. This could take up to two weeks, but hopefully that's just a "worst case scenario"!
