  1. Hahaha I can't wait to see you again . You should be an actor
  2. I've done all the mazes except Blair witch this year! I will post a full review later but will just give my ratings now: MBV- 2/10 CITW- 8/10 Saw Alive- 8/10 The Asylum- 9/10 The asylum was easily the best maze and I can't bear to see it go! I also hope saw alive doesn't leave either as it was a fantastic maze! I even got scared by Steve in the queue who came up to me and banged on the fence while we were waiting . I was so freaked out, thanks Steve From visiting yesterday, we got to saw alive at 2:30 and waited at least an hour from then. We were only a 5/10 minute wait from the front but they were letting in 3 groups fastrack to 1 group main queue. I asked why this was, and the lady said that they had to get rid of the fastrack line, the only problem was, it kept going! Fastrack was clearly being oversold in this situation...

    Logger's Leap

With all this rain and the water level is too low!? I know it's meant to close at 5 for BWP but it just doesn't seem to open all day at all for fright nights. However I did visit about a week ago and it was open all day and we had 6 goes on it
  4. From last year this is how much the 'big rides' were:Fun houses-£4 Deep Impact, Snow Jet, WW Express and Avalanche- £4 Showtime- £5 Power tower, Air, Wild Maus XXL and Euro coaster- £6 Alpine Coaster- £4 Blizzard Booster- £7 On this years line up I would expect prices to be roughly similar with the new ones(XXL and gladiator) maybe reaching £8ish. However, Ewald Schneider is building a new tower called the hangover(100m freefall) however I'm not sure whether it will be visiting this years wonderland however in future years that could well be £10/12.
  5. The event is expanding once again this year and will be taking up more space in hyde park. The rides generally average at about £5 a ride however it may get more expensive this year...
  6. Rock Rage At Milton Keynes. You can see signs of the rides themeing including signs titled 'Ski Jump'. As I was saying before this winter themeing confirms the fact that graham Sedgewick will be touring his ride down into London For Winter Wonderland This year... You can't go to winter wonderland without riding Ski Jump
  7. UPDATE: Graham Sedgewicks amazing KMG Inversion 'Rock rage' is now in Milton Keynes and has been noticed with Winter Themeing and is named 'Ski Jump'. It has been said that Graham Sedgewick will be bringing his ride down to Winter wonderland for the first time this year
  8. Yes but it still creates the issue of the queue moving slowly...
  9. I really don't see how they can let priority pass users through when they have stopped fastrack? Confuses me so much!
  10. Tonight at 8pm? Sorry wasn't on yesterday! If you guys wanna come in I now know most of the line up AND there are a couple of suprises about the event
  11. If you need numbers as in queue times then I think it will be similar to the summer. I reckon the flat rides will have 45-60min queues and the rollercoasters will have 90-120 min queues. I don't think you will be able to manage everything you want within the 7 hour period, sorry. This is just based on the busyness of sun scream and I'm sure fright nights is similarly as busy to sun scream. When I went to sunscream, we just managed to get on everything and that was fastracking 3 of the rides!People say the rides get emptier after 3pm because the mazes open but I personally do not think that will happen unfortunately as more people filter into the park just for the evening at about 3pm. There is no question about it that the park will be packed unfortunately
  12. I saw you working on loggers leap the other day . You're a really good operator
  13. I had all the effects too!If swarm breaks down, the ride is not fully restarted and the fire effect is shut off or something like that. Because of this, when the ride is back in operation, because the ride is not fully restarted, the fire is not restarted and can only be restarted the next day...
  14. Well I'm not too good at knowing when chat is likely to be busy etc. so was wondering if anyone else wanted to suggest a time for a topic in chat? It doesn't have to be winter wonderland of course but I thought it would be a nice thing to talk about seeing as we are coming up it the closed season and TPM are ovbiously having a meet which involves going there. If anyone wants to suggest a date and time that would be good
  15. Been dead for a while now? Any chat times coming up soon? We could do a winter wonderland discussion coming up to Christmas maybe? Just a suggestion...
  16. Sorry it's my messed up brain The ones which are currently listed are planned to be attending however, there may be issues with transport etc. which prevent some rides going and a replacement ride may be brought in(like with ski jump in 2011). Rumour has it, air is already down in london setting up for the event I will add any more rides which are attending onto the list above.
  17. Alright guys so as we probably all know it's only about a month away until London's main winter event opens up on Hyde Park... This year is planned to be bigger and better than ever before and I have heard most of the line up for this years event however it is not confirmed and I doubt I am able to reveal the line up yet, however watch this space for further information! Confirmed rides attending: Abie Danter's- Starshape: 'AIR' William Thurston's- Waltzer: 'Avalanche' Edgar&Rene Rasch's- Funhouse: 'Alpen Hotel' Joseph Manning's- Afterburner: 'Showtime' Reinhard Van Der Venn's- Matterhorn: 'Snow Jet 2' Sheldon Hart's- 'Over The Top' Ewald Schneider's- Freefall Tower: 'Power Tower 2' 'Winter Wonderland Express' M.Eberhard- Rollercoaster: 'Wilde Maus XXL' Joseph Mannings's-Miami: 'Deep Impact' John Bugg's- Freakout: 'Oblivion'
  18. Change of plan actually, we are planning to go this sunday(27th). I know it will be busier but can anyone tell me if it will be massive queues like during next week(2 hours!?). Many thanks...
  19. I'm planning to go on Sunday 3rd November to fright nights as was thinking it would be the emptiest day of the half term week? Is this correct and how long do you guys think the queues for the mazes and rides will be? Thanks
  20. On the website it says till 5pm...?
  21. This is just like what happened yesterday! There were short queues all day yesterday however after about 3/4pm there were no queues at all!
  22. Not really One of my friends was on the ground watching and laughing and I was too busy panicking and screaming at him! It was so scary but funny afterwards!

    Ride teams

I think the teacups are linked with zodiac aswell?
  24. I was on park yesterday for a very empty day, probably the emptiest day I have ever been at Thorpe. Samurai and Slammer were both shut. Samurai was still just sitting there with a sign infront and no work being done to it. Slammer had a big crane like vehicle next to it and it had covers over the restraints. I did talk to a member of staff at the entrance who told me that they were considering removing slammer altogether however I am not sure whether this information was true... The day was good and there were few break downs on park which is good. All rollercoasters were on 1 train and saw was only on 4 cars but despite this the queues stayed down at 5/10 mins for everything except for saw which we queued 30 mins for due to only 4 cars meaning that the queue was moving up VERY slowly. Overall it was a great day because of its emptiness however operations seemed to be generally slow and the staff were just having a general chat because it was so empty. Re-rides on most of the rides were optional aswell on most of the flat rides and a couple of the rollercoasters. Time in park: 11am-5pm Ride count: Vortex- 2 Rush- 2 Detonator- 2 Swarm- 2(1 forwards, 1 backwards) Stealth- 1 Colossus- 2 Saw- 1 X- 6 Rocky Express- 2 Loggers Leap- 6 Tidal Wave- 1 Rumba Rapids- 1 Flying Fish- 1 Depth Charge- 3 Zodiac- 1 Quantum- 2 Total Ride count: 35!! By far the most rides I have done in a day at thorpe which is partly due to it being so empty. We did also have a shock on detonator where we got stuck at the top. We were at the top and could here the 'fright nights countdown', the music went 'and cut...' however we did not drop. We were stuck at the top for another two minutes or so and the car had started shaking because the 'metal cage' which brings you up was trying to lower as it thought it had dropped the car. The ride operator made an announcement that it was broken and we were stuck at the top however after a couple more minutes he managed to release the car and we dropped. Detonator is scary enough without getting stuck at the top!
