worst theme park experience
I have seriously been so lucky with breakdowns etc. What would have been a catastrophic day for me, going to Alton Towers and having Nemesis break down about 11 before I got to it, and having it closed right til the end of the day... fortunately they opened it about 5pm and got an extra 20mins extra ride time on it! Legoland in 2010 october half term, about midday the whole park had a power cut, didn't realise at the time there was a powercut but was quite funny watching the cars / buses in miniland losing signal and going off track and crashing into each other and into the water haha - in all seriousness though most of the rides were closed for the majority of the day with a few opening in the afternoon, obviously due to the length of time re testing and opening the rides, had such big queues, and worst of all the fireworks got cancelled

Oakwood
Well a rollercoaster isn't really going to happen for summer... But hopefully a flat ride for the thrill seekers (up for it families)

SAW: The Ride
I swear they actually look like crossbows as well... Although everyone I've gone on the ride with doesn't really seem to 'get' that part.

2014 Season
I'm guessing it will be done using your smartphone, not hiring anything out?

On Ride Photos
The photo pass is only good value considering how dear individual photos are... 2012 photo passes were 20pound without digital Downloads and 25 with them, so with photo passes only at 25pound, it hasn't changed for about 3years - also I thought individual photos were 8pound as I remember Alton towers were dearer at 10pound each, they now all include free digital downloads though. Still agree they're a rip off, although the problem is people still buy them... I like pluks idea of cheap digital only downloads as almost everyone would buy them and be a good way to promote the park with the pictures all over social media, but I can't see how it would work with how small the photo booths are with how little staff and how they could cope with the demand - I think the way it would work is pay for the receipt with the code on to download online which can be done on your mobile or on a PC... I would literally buy every picture aha!

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
Looking at new unique rides not similar to existing ones... Wood is the only direction really - I'm definitely praying/hoping, and I'm sure most of you are as well, please Thorpe!!

They did that with a USB wristband you could buy, I had one from Thorpe in 2010 and could buy a digital download on it for 5pound each time which was great, plus I could use it in 2011 as well so didn't have to buy another wristband. Shame they've stopped digital only pictures now?

Phantasialand
I loved the backwards indoor section with the flashing multicoloured lights and lazers... wow!

Phantasialand
that last drop, what the hell! also fastest lift hill on a log flume I've ever seen!

On Ride Photos
Yes I have bought one from both Thorpe Park and Alton Towers this season - they are £25 for 4 photos, keyrings or magnets which include a digital download.

Nemesis
Entrance from the hotel through the woodland walk wasn't very well organised... Anyway we were the only ones to use it, and meant we got to nemesis just after 9 and were the only ones in forbidden valley and got a ride on nemesis all to ourselves with no one else in sight, was so good!

Drayton Manor
So Drayton Manor have announced on their Facebook that G Force will be unavailable until further notice... I wonder what's happened!?

The Smiler
The extended queue looks fine, although couldn't see a gate to cut it out which would be a bit of a pain. It seemed to get slowed down on the brakes on the first airtime hill, and almost stalled mid inversion on the following two inversions, or at least felt like that! Seen the train behind do the same too, then get out the exit shop to find the smiler is currently experiencing technical difficulties, like 10 mins after opening haha!

2014 TV advert
It goes up to 58pound after may, so I think it is an all season offer? Regardless of how many guests, it's probably gonna cost Thorpe the same to run the park, so it is a great idea for them... I certainly took advantage of the offer last summer!

2014 TV advert
If they're worried about the amount of guests they're getting... An annual pass is a great idea as it gives the customers a reason to come back for free - but what helps Thorpe is that parking charges are involved, as well as almost every customer spending money in the park, so it's a win win really.

Scorpion Express
we need a fire breathing and water squirting fish at thorpe park now...

Family Inverted B&M Happy Valley Shanghai
Just doesn't look right seeing such a monstrous B&M track with such little height...

Nemesis
Can't see it going anywhere for another 20 years unless there's an accident to cause the closure, or unfortunately it's not maintained well enough and the structure starts to crack under stress.

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
I'm glad saw is how it is, as it leaves the loggers leap area and CCR clear for any future coasters/attractions

Next Big Thing - 2016 Development ?
Isn't that an alternative plan for Saw: The Ride as you can see the building and the 2d view of where the vertical lift hill is as well as the first inversion, and then an alternative layout after which would seem to go over by loggers leap?

2014 TV advert
I'm not saying it's completely alienated them like they had done with families for years, but it just seems this year (and probably last) they have gone too much in the other direction!

2014 TV advert
The thing is, I think I only seen the swarm and stealth in the advert, and a selection of the water rides... So this sort of advert is something we could expect from a smaller parks like flamingo land, Drayton manor, or even light water valley etc. Just doesn't feel like a Thorpe park advert, it is a good and fun nonetheless.
