  1. Read the rest of my post. It's unlikely that were gonna get American Adventure back, and to replace it, what is there other than housing that they want?

Sent from my SM-G361F using Tapatalk

It may not be what they're going to get, but it's still what they want. A majority of people may not know all the rides are gonna and assume it's just been left, seeing as it keeps being referred to as 'abandoned', as if it had just been left as is...

  2. I don't know if anyone here would know, but back in July I noticed there was a crack in ceiling in the section that used to have the 'lift' effect, just before the loading platform (via the ride access pass entrance). It was pretty big and got worse between July and October. I emailed them about it and said they'd look into it over the closed season. Does anyone who also uses this entrance know if they've fixed it or not? Thanks

Don't know about that entrance but I'm not sure if it's anything to worry about. The ceiling above the 'lift' for the normal queue is just a plasterboard sheet, there has been a hole through it for a few seasons now and you can see right up to the roof of the shed.

So if it's a nothing that's just there to cover the roof then I doubt anything has been done

  3. A lot of the answers you seek can be found here:

    http://forum.maniahub.com/topic/11136-annual-pass-sale/

    1. You go and collect it from the Annual Pass Building on the right of the main entrance right by the road to the car park barriers.
    2. Not sure what you need to bring but it should tell you when you buy your pass online. Probably something along the lines of a print out of an email conformation.
    3. Not sure about this either, but back in the day when I used to visit with friends who had tickets you could sometimes get away with taking them through the annual pass queue...
    4. Time to get the pass will vary, can take anything from 10 minutes to almost an hour if they're busy and you have to queue for a while, so be prepared to wait if you plan to go get it just before the park opens.

    Hope I've helped! :)

  4. There were articles out in the Metro (and another paper I can't quite remember) online within an hour of the incident...

What made me laugh was members of the public proposing the tickets that sold out so quickly this morning had gone to workers and their friends and family... Though I guess they don't know about the amount of free tickets workers are given already

  5. Sounds like a typical day at certain halls at my university.

Still ironic though as there seems to a fire curse/problem there. Hopefully it hasn't gone up in smoke though.

Yeah, sounds just like my hall during freshers :D And no, the place did re open later in the day, so it hasn't gone up yet :)

  6. So I'm going with a group of 4 friends to buy some Thorpe Park annual passes, but its say in the T&C that we must be over 18 to buy one (which we are not). What do we do?

Ask a friendly adult to escort you there (parents while dropping you off or something?) and buy them for you, and then pay them back?

  7. To clarify, the signs in the station saying queue here for backwards facing rows have been removed, there is just a separate access point (if thinking about it like that makes you feel better) for riding the back two rows

  8. Well as of today we have a fence promising further development and SW8, behind which the only work is that Flume itself has been drained. The board with the queue time is even switched on and visible over the wall but thankfully showing unavailable on it...

  9. It's just a shame that throughput wasn't one of the improvements - not sure what could realistically be changed but I think that designing a permanent attraction with a throughput of less than 200pph was a very bizarre decision from the park.

It may have been, but it's been done now so I think they're just trying to make the best of the attraction they've been left with. At least they've tried to update it to keep it relevant and current to the TV show that a lot of people watch :)

  10. Not sure what was going on in the station today but there was a speaker opposite the door just blaring out constant bass so loud it was actually a bit painful on the ears :o

Also music inside the pyramid was different to that in the queue, and for us just seemed to be a constant drum and bass beat, no actual song to it... And the two speakers on opposite sides of the pyramid were out of sync :(

  11. Oops, think I've been the worst at falling behind  :pardon:  Sorry, been a busy week!
