All the headsets were working on the two runs I had on Saturday, however they are all still very glitchy. Multiple times on the first section my head moved the opposite way I turned and at one point I fell out of the train completely. It wasn't as bad on the second section but they were still there. Not too sure what they can do to fix this though.. The ending wasn't working either on the first run either, which was disappointing as it meant first time riders missed out on the best part of the ride. It was running later in the afternoon though.

From looking at the app it's been opening between 10 and 10-30 most days. On my last visit it was at 10-15. A lot lot better than last year when it would be lucky to open at 11 or 12.

Very happy to hear that IMAscore are doing a lot more of the soundtracks at Thorpe. From what I have heard of them so far, they are very good! I thoroughly look forward to hearing the rest of them when they are released. Surely this has to mean we are getting a CD/official online release of the news soundtracks and existing ones (Big Top, DBGT).. Please Thorpe!

Damn, I'm excited again.. I'm really hoping that ROTD will be good, however I'm still doubtful. Also, a heart rate of 183bpm!? That is very very high, must be terrifying

Having only three mazes at Fright Nights would be a nightmare for queues: it's bad enough with 5. Then again, whilst 8 mazes would improve queues, the quality wouldn't be great. Another thing is that Thorpe do not have the space to create large mazes nor do they have the space to have 8 separate mazes. Where would they put them all? Big Top is returning as well as Platform. They won't use the beach again due to the flooding, they can use Cabins building and maybe the Lakeside Marquee... then where else? I guess behind Swarm island if they want to use that land. This information just seems a bit off. Thorpe should stick to 5-6 attractions that are all consistently good, like they were in 2014.

Still no opening date reveal to arrive today. With no reveal time being stated by Thorpe's social media, my bet is they haven't even decided on a date yet..

What's the point of bringing this attraction back if they're only opening it on off-peak days? I mean it'll reduce the two hour nightmare waits that it had during the summer, but I just don't see the point, it should've just closed it. Presumably it's so they can put more actors in ROTD on busy days, I see no other reason for them to close it unless they can't afford to pay the actors over a long period of time.

I can maybe go to this not 100% sure yet.

New info on FN, hinting at scare zones and a changed event! Big Top and Platform are confirmed to be returning!

If Lionsgate are gone, then Cabin can very easily be left nearly as it is; it wouldn't need much work to brand it as a 'new maze'. Free flow is much much better than HOS. In mazes such as TOTT, for a lot of the time the movement of the line was very stop-start and when it was moving the leader of the group was running his way through the maze. With free flow you can move at your own pace through the attraction and you can appreciate everything a lot more that if you are struggling to stay connected in the line.

Colossus needs to be removed/ heavily renovated asap; it's been getting rougher and rougher year by year; my last ride on it last year was by far the most hideous it's been. If anything, replace the trains with the new ones (lap bars ) so that it might make for a smoother experience. Colossus isn't actually that bad of a coaster, it's just way too rough to be remotely enjoyable anymore.

So long as it's a balance of IP mazes and original ideas I'll be happy (well so long as Big Top stays in it's 2016 state I'll be happy). Would've rathered all original though.

POLL: Does Virtual Reality have a place in Theme Parks?
L7123456 replied to Coaster's topic in General Discussion
If VR is used well and isn't just a gimmick (cough cough Galactica), then I believe yes it does have a place in theme parks. -

There are two Christmas trees by the main entrance to the park. Nothing exciting, but they were actually bothered to put them up.

At the moment, Saw is my favourite ride at Thorpe. However that often changes if Swarm is running well!
