The website actually says "encouters" ? It's almost as if they really rushed the announcement or something.
Good spot, as they also mispelled announce in the same sentence. ??♂️

The Fright Nights website has been updated confirming that Saw Alive, Living Nightmare, Platform 15 and Containment will be returning. So basically nothing that we haven’t heard before.
“More mazes and encounters” are going to be revealed soon.
Encounters ?

Read the post. It says last year. Unfortunate timing and unfortunate lack of cohesion !

Definitely a downgrade to replace a good indoor maze with another traipse through the mud. I hope they make some changes to sanctum as doing that in semi daylight last year was terrible (though the actors did try lol).
I liked the cottage section in platform 13 the most but the maze was a bit meh because of the boring never ending tunnel at the end lol.
Platform 15.

Blair Witch returning is perhaps the most odd, uncalled for, and weirdest decision for Fright Nights in absolute years..
Blair Witch wasn't a terrible attraction, but with Platform and Sanctum both being outside now, I bet it will be completely redundant..
If Big Top goes I think the team behind Fright Night needs to do a drug test asap.
Tis a shame, things were kinda looking up last year, sure they had the IP's, but you had Platform and Big Top that both held their own.
It’s probably worth mentioning at this point that the team responsible for Fright Nights in 2016-17 have long since departed the island.
Each of them are watching on with baited breath.
Long live Big Top.

as sad as it is, I feel Thorpe have something big planned this year, something better than the big top. They know the big top was the most popular. And they know that if they want to get rid of it, they’ll have to replace it with something even better. Keep your calendar dates free, I wouldn’t lose all hope just yet.
Don’t hold your breath.

Why would they remove Big Top though? It was consistently one of the most popular mazes for the past 2 seasons, and IMO the most solid in the lineup last year.
Only reasons I can think of are operational cutbacks and/or a lack of skilled staff to build and configure all the effects?

I think it would a terrible move to get rid of Big Top, it is easily the most fun maze at the event and I think the maze is nowhere near the end of its life-span.
The Big Top has been the shining light in the lineup in the past two years, to remove it would probably make me consider visiting at all.
I have to say I noticed a lack of construction on the Big Top site which does concern me, hopefully it does return..
When you have Saw Alive, Sanctum and Containment, it would be shocking for one of the most popular mazes in Fright Night's history to get axed..
As the post above said, if Big Top goes honestly I might just live at Tulleys this year..

Ok so lets say Big Top doesn’t return. Are you going to Fright Nights this year?

I also think this will be Saw Alive's last Fright night due to too much costs to run and open due to the location of it being on a boat

?
Blair witch will be back. Sorry.
Saw Alive has always been on a boat. Sorry.

Nasher, I’m sorry.
Fantastic thoughts and opinions there, honestly, truly magical, and how you’ve reached some of those conclusions, you deserve a pop badge or something....
But come on man, paragraphs, grammar, spaces - I’ve got to go and lie down after that absolute twaddle. I’ve got a headache.
By the way, Saw Alive has always been on a boat...

Honestly I think the new maze this year will Most Likely be where the zombie Hunt exit is at the Moment and I've heard that a maze from the past is returning there's rumours of Blair witch returning which I think is not going to happen and in my opinion I think Studio 13 will return as it's not a IP Maze whereas Blair witch is A IP
Nasher has nailed it. Studio 13 is returning, triumphantly, and they’ve just started knocking down I’m a Celebrity to make way for it. Well done Nasher! How did you know!? ?

I wouldn't mind a third Walking Dead maze, I think as long as they make it well themed and fun that is one step above what Containment ever was.
I think Platform and Big Top returning will be enough to make the event as good as last year, Living Nightmare is also a decent maze IMO.
Sanctum I hope they heavily change and extend, if so then it could be a really good warm-up attraction for the bigger mazes.
Saw Alive will probably be mundane as per usual, but if the new maze is good then I think this could be a great lineup.
I wish people would look past a terrible pop badge release board which everyone hopes is some amazing elusive reveal schedule. Containment will be back this year.

I understand that, yet for the closed season of 2016 and all of 2017 the tunnel remianed intact
No Mr Skin, it didn’t. It was there for a bit of the closed season in 2016. It absolutely was not there when the park opened in 2017.

The platform 15 tunnel was not present when we went in may, is it back now ?
It wouldn’t be coolskin. This is within a ride area and is therefore one of the last things to be installed in preparation for Fright Nights.

Yeah I was going to say, this riddle / teaser marketing is way better Quality than anything Thorpe has ever managed. I'd be very impressed if it is them however!
You won’t need to be impressed then!

Love island isn’t something I personally watch - but it’s clearly popular so can see why they’ve done it.
The problem thorpe have had in the past with their late openings is there’s nothing much else’s to entice people to stay into the evening, summer nights whikst obviously great for us to get loads of rides was obviously unsustainable. A name like this will no doubt help get more people to these late nights, so for me it’s win win, we can enjoy the park till 10pm through summer, whilst the park (hopefully) attract enough people in these evenings to continue them into the future.
Marc you are so pragmatic. This is going to be garbage.
