  1. Apart from me and Steven losing to peaj at air hockey (at the same time!!), this was a great meet!! Those views from the top of the London Eyes were simply magnificent!!. Winter wonderland was fantastic this year apart from me being an idiot and deciding to pull the restraints down too far on Olympia (which is a magnificent coaster especially for a temporary one by the way) which near enough killed my shoulders. Well done to Ryan and Paige on becoming the new meet organisers and all the best to Peaj (by the way me and Steven only let you win by the way....)
  2. 1) Shockwaves zero-g roll 2) Ritas launch 3) Big ones first drop
  3. Wicked Witches Haunt back in 1999. Such happy days
  4. That would simply be the greatest thing Thorpe Park could do when it comes to fright nights in my opinion!! It is still the scariest maze Thorpe Park have ever had and would give the event the massive shot in the arm it needs. Plus for those that only experienced Asylum and loved it, they would love Freezer as it's practically the same damn thing and Thorpe park would not have to worry about any rubbish about "offending people". I wouldn't mind Thorpe bringing in a maze similar to "Nightbringer" at Burton Screamfest which was one of my highlights of the Halloween season.
  5. If I'm honest, I much prefer riding without the VR. I have nothing against VR at all and utterly love Derren Browns Ghost Train (when everything's working that is!!) but I just feel that the VR on this made it feel more like a glorified motion simulator rather than a pretty good flying coaster. It also felt like the VR was out of sync with the actual movements of the ride when I went on it.
  6. Going to Florida just before Volcano Bay opens!! . Still excited for Kong, Harry Potter and Transformers. Haven't been to Orlando since 2010 so I have loads to catch up on
  7. An RMC like The Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom would simply be awesome at Thorpe park if it ever happened. Wouldn't mind a Maverick style coaster either. (nothing gimmicky, just a great roller coaster, a great roller coaster will always sell itself without any need for a fancy gimmick)
  8. Recently I visited Warwick Castle and with it The Castle Dungeon which now leaves me only needing to visit York to complete the full set of UK Dungeons and as I left, I was asked what my favourite of the Dungeons is. So I'm going to ask you all your opinions as to what your favourite one is!! For me its 1st Edinburgh 2nd London 3rd Blackpool 4th Warwick Castle I will squeeze York into that list if I ever get round to it!!
  9. Great scare maze!!. Can be hit and miss at times but when it's absolutely on its game then it's a top class scare maze. The Dracula and Exorcist rooms get me every time.
  10. I absolutely would love to see that!!. Be one solid family coaster!! A spinner with all the disco lights would be a real winner.
  11. I'll give Slammer 3 years tops. Thorpe park know it's a very unique ride and they constantly like to point out its the last of its kind, but how long can they honestly persist with a ride that has all the issues that Slammer has??
  12. My all time favourite maze has to be The Freezer!! It was utterly terrifying and was just horrible for all the right reasons. The actors in it never gave you a minutes peace and from the moment you entered the door to the moment you got out, it was completely crazy and Thorpe park has never had a better maze in my opinion. My favourite current maze is a tie between The Cellar at tulleys owing to its relentless jump scares and theming and Sub Species because of its aggression and the isolation factor it uses.
  13. 25 minute drive (depending on traffic conditions)
  14. After catching glimpses of the current state loggers is in from doing Platform 15, I would be shocked if it makes a return next year. I do hope I'm wrong as this is my childhood favourite ride but I just don't see it returning as it just looks utterly ran down now. If I am wrong though and it does return then I owe a friend a years supply of Nitrogenie as I made a bet!!
  15. Hit the nail on the head with the time slot idea!!. Warwick castle implemented a free timed ticket system with its "Tormented" attraction this Halloween and it seemed to work an absolute treat for keeping the queues down. As much as I love fright nights, to queue 3 hours for a scare maze really is too much.
  16. Is it me or did the amount of chainsaws in Chop Shop dwindle this year?? Had a few goes through it when I went and I must of only of had 5 chainsaw encounters compared to over double that last year. Don't get me wrong, I still loved it and still found it to be one of the best mazes I've done this Halloween but it just seemed the ending wasn't as packed with chainsaws as last year. All other mazes I found to be really good (Cellar is simply a masterpiece!!) but I think Hellements needs to be moved on next year as I find it stale now (then again I'm not a huge fan on hood mazes). Overall I really enjoyed Tulleys this year!!
  17. For me it's a toss up between Swarm and Inferno. Really I'm just a sucker for B&M coasters though.
