A couple of thousand would be ridiculously good. You realise they only need a few hundred to break even on the event? They obviously did last time! It's all good!
  2. Right, I'm still a maybe in that it depends when I'm working. I don't have an annual pass though, but would be more than willing to join up after MT and do wonderland and stuff. I'll let you know on the week leading up to it!
  3. I imagine they're doing this to get some marketing out of it, can market it as a new attraction then, whereas before it would've just been Runaway Train with new rocks. Hopefully rocks return, otherwise I'll wanna slap chessie more than I do already.
  4. Good range of photos. I particularly enjoy Samurai looking like normal, and stealth pretending it belongs to a less reputable park with its harnesses casually laying there.
  5. Sounds like a good deal to me.
  6. Thought Air was overpriced at £5 in Goose Fair. Not visiting, or if I do, not riding.
  7. Hey there. The park is zoo only that day if it is open. There'll be no rides open unfortunately. Barely any of the zoo is open either because of construction work. Enjoy..
  8. Hmm what else can we get thorpe to tweet about..

What's it called when you're trying to shout in your dream, and you end up shouting in real life and realising it, you think to yourself in your dream what a idiot you are? I like those as well, even if it is frustrating that those in the dream are misbehaving!

Ooh I bloody love those dreams where I know I'm dreaming, especially great fun ones. Wandering around like "this dream is fantastic, hope I don't have to wake up for a while!"

Anything with a dog and Comic Sans is a winner in my books.

Merlin Studios only really create the concepts and waxworks, almost the entirity of every project is made with external contractors.
  13. Thorpes year-on-year staff videos which end up everywhere are proof you can do it with no budget (just enthusiastic members of staff).

RMT, Air, Nemesis, Spinball, NST, Duel, Hex, Charlie.. Pretty good lineup for the usual enthusiast, far better than a couple of years ago (even if it did used to include Oblivion).
  15. Still a potential maybe. Can all be thrown out of the water if I get a job, but if I don't, I'm more than happy to waste precious funds on this trip!

They both had 120min queues, they both closed at 4pm or just before as they need to be clear by 6pm.
  17. Highlight: -Not visiting -Excellent PR by them. They've suddenly got a face, and they're doing it incredibly well. Lowlight: -Reading pages and pages of slammer being dead.

You'll find it even more weird, in that case, that at towers the same people operate Frog Hopper as they do Rita
  19. Fireworks also last usually between 20-25mins, preshow starts at 645pm. They sound good this year, don't think you could get worse than last years performance though.
  20. Cute baby trains. Why do both foreign merlin parks get lower throughput attractions? Those parks are surely busy enough to warrant the same size trains as their UK counterparts?! Down to money I suppose. They never treat their foreign parks as well as they do the UK ones (that's saying something).

The crane physically blocked the pathway into X sector. That's why the area was closed.
  22. SRQ slows down the actual operations of the ride. You won't get full seats going out everytime, especially on a ride where singles aren't batched into the bays. Nemesis SRQ moves relatively quickly anyway, particularly when you compare it to other rides also offering it on park.
  23. Obviously not listened to the reason behind it, lets hope it's shut instead next time for you
  24. You've answered your own question there. To make sure people travel a mile each time, without abusing the SINGLE RIDER queue. Least they actually let you use SRQ at that time, I know that they generally close it when there's no queue to prevent this occuring. Ultimately, SRQ is to fill up empty seats on busy days, it's not there to become a substitute for the main queue which would occur if they allowed everyone on via it. It becomes completely unmanageable, and hence why they usually close it or make people ride alone so prevent them using it.
  25. Air isn't all that. Really unimpressed. Felt like one of the poorer settings of Samurai.
